“In Bethlehem a manger waits, long ago and so today,
Where hatred-weary people pray Love will come and lay there.
And so do countless stables stand in hearts as harsh as desert lands,
Rough shelters in the wind and sand, so Love will come and stay there –.
Love that opens fists of hate, heaps of gold on beggars’ plates,
Love that shows a kindly face to enemies and strangers.
And walls of stables tremble so when winds of fear and judgment blow. For a stable hopes in Love alone and knows that Love’s the answer.
Oh, Love, the prophets’ only word, the only lesson left to learn,
The only end of heaven’s work, and the only road that goes there —
Love that sees with mercy’s eyes, holds its arms out open wide,
Threads its loom with separate lives and weaves them all together.
So, may the lamps of stables glow brightly lit that light may go
for miles in the darkness, so Love will find its way there.”

We don't have a mask mandate at UCC. However, because UCC is pro-children and pro-families, we are encouraging vaccination for those who are eligible and asking folks to wear masks when near others indoors.
We are pausing our Pre-K childcare and nursery for the time being, in the interest of safety and well-being for all. We will all get through this together. |

The Reverend Cynthia is about to begin a study of Lessons in Truth, which can be taken for credit in our UCC Prayer Chaplaincy program as well as for personal enrichment.
Lessons in Truth, by Dr. H. Emilie Cady, is considered Unity’s primary textbook, together with the Bible. It has proven to be of great value to Truth students at all levels of spiritual unfoldment.

Message from Sue about The 12 Powers Club

You are probably wondering why Leddy and I are decked out in matching scarves.
Well, we’ve been invited to be part of a very exciting project spearheaded by Kim-Char Meredith called The 12 Powers Club.
Launched on July 1, this “members only” club is full of content on the 12 powers as created by Unity Cofounder, Charles Fillmore.
Leddy and I have created video segments for each of the 12 women (12 powers interpreted through the Divine Feminine) and I can’t believe how much fun we had doing this!
You are going to love it! And there’s more, much more!
There are many other guest presenters, music, resources for kids, interviews, etc. all on the themes of an intuitive interpretation of the spiritual faculties of humankind.
If you’re like me, you are still finding your way after this past challenging year and what better way than to Power up! I felt better just creating it, so I can’t wait to view all of the other amazing content.

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.
