This Sunday @ UCC: Set the Table- Leddy Hammock
|
|
Inspired by lyrics to “Keep the Table Set” by David Roth and Tom Ryan:
God has prepared a feast for me and has set the table for me to enjoy every good thing.
My mind set is to expect the best. In all my life, I give thanks in advance, expecting good and only good.
I shine all my dishes with my dreams and my wishes. I keep the table set.
I believe that God’s will for all people is good and only good.
There is always room for more people at our table. We can always set an extra plate.
Although we may say grace in many ways, we all stay grateful. We bring hope and peace to the table.
God is our instant, constant, abundant Source, and something wonderful is always coming our way.
We are ready for God’s banquet: we keep the table set. |

| | | | | | SPEAKING PROSPERITY AGAINST ALL SEEMING ODDS
During the Depression years, a woman gathered her children to speak prosperity affirmations each day for their father’s struggling business.
“While this woman’s neighbors talked lack, she affirmed abundance. While they held tightly to their money, she blessed her pocketbook, bank account, and financial affairs. She dared to invoke the law of receiving by spending her money fearlessly. When she made a financial transaction, she would think of her larger bills as being broken down into smaller denominations and going forth, blessed, to be multiplied and to return in multiplied amounts. To keep fear and limited [thoughts] from creeping in, she decreed as she paid her bills: ‘I exercise wisdom and good judgment, and all my affairs are prospered.”
(Catherine Ponder in The Prospering Power of Love [Unity School of Christianity, 1966]
Your Weekly Prosperity Affirmation: ‘I EXERCISE WISDOM AND GOOD JUDGMENT, AND ALL MY AFFAIRS ARE PROSPERED.” THANK YOU, GOD!
