Lesson Title: Prayer that Never Fails
|

Inspired by lyrics by Susan Clark to “Pray” --
I pray about those who have stumbled, who seem to have lost their way. I pray that they are finding their path to a brighter day.
There are no magic words for me to say. I don’t even have to open my mouth, for God hears me, anyway.
I know that God forgives me, as I forgive those who won’t.
I pray with those who love me and I also bless those who don’t.
There is no magic place I need to go. Each day holds a blessing, and it’s only a thought away.
I turn the key that unlocks the door to faith when I pray. |

Join Associate Minister Judy Tafelski, for an in-depth study of Eric Butterworth's book Celebrate Yourself.
The class will expand on Leddy's Summer Sunday Series based on the same book.
The book consists of 43 stimulating essays to help you discern, celebrate, and
express your hidden potential and reverse limiting thought patterns.
From the Introduction of Celebrate Yourself: "The word celebrate means to honor. It does not imply dealing with something that is done, "as from the outside. Rather it is giving a very special blessing to something. In the true spirit of celebration you are not just a loud-laughing spectator. You are an involved participant. You become a conscious channel for the cosmic flow. ~Eric Butterworth

“Faith is an inner conviction or assurance that there is a way to meet our financial needs. Thus we ‘go . . . to the sea’ [as Jesus directed Peter to do, to get the tax money] by dwelling on the sea of abundance we see all about us. The Psalmist went to the sea of abundance when he affirmed the words of the 23d Psalm (which has often been described as the ‘prosperity psalm’). By browsing through the Bible and dwelling on its rich promises, by reading a book on prosperity, by reading the biography of a successful [person], or by dwelling on whatever gives you a rich feeling of universal abundance, you ‘go to the sea.’”
