This Sunday: Patterns of Spiritual Gifts |
|
Lyrics to “Gifts to Give” by Joy Katzen-Guthrie:
“When you are in lack, speak with words of praise. If you count them, you will find your blessings will amaze. When you are in fear, spread the gift of love. The joy of love and peace of mind surround you like a glove.
When anger fills your heart, understanding is your gift, To put your life in harmony and give everyone a lift. When you are in pain, fill your mind with prayer, An awe-inspiring web of love supports you everywhere. Giving of yourself doesn’t cost you anything. But that gift is more valuable than any other you can bring. There’s something you can give that someone can embrace. Somebody will be happier, this world a better place.
We all have gifts to give, making the whole world brighter. We have gifts to give, taking our spirits higher. We give freely of our love, so much more love we receive. This is the wondrous pattern that we weave.”

We don't have a mask mandate at UCC. However, because UCC is pro-children and pro-families, we are encouraging vaccination for those who are eligible and asking folks to wear masks when near others indoors.
We are pausing our Pre-K childcare and nursery for the time being, in the interest of safety and well-being for all. We will all get through this together.

|
For now, let's do fist or elbow bumps and Namaste instead of hugs! |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Message from Sue about The 12 Powers Club
|
|
You are probably wondering why Leddy and I are decked out in matching scarves.
Well, we’ve been invited to be part of a very exciting project spearheaded by Kim-Char Meredith called The 12 Powers Club.
Launched on July 1, this “members only” club is full of content on the 12 powers as created by Unity Cofounder, Charles Fillmore.
Leddy and I have created video segments for each of the 12 women (12 powers interpreted through the Divine Feminine) and I can’t believe how much fun we had doing this!
You are going to love it! And there’s more, much more!
There are many other guest presenters, music, resources for kids, interviews, etc. all on the themes of an intuitive interpretation of the spiritual faculties of humankind.
If you’re like me, you are still finding your way after this past challenging year and what better way than to Power up! I felt better just creating it, so I can’t wait to view all of the other amazing content.
Best of all, you can choose who to gift back ½ of the membership fee. So, you can become more empowered and benefit Unity Church of Clearwater at the same time!

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

UCC Contributes Monthly to Feeding Tampa Bay
|
|
UCC continues to contribute to FeedingTampaBay.org. They have doubled their weekly meals distributed from 1 million meals to 2 million, establishing six weekly mega pantries serving nearly 10,000 families each week and converting their mobile pantries to a drive-thru model for increased distribution and safety. Message from "Rosie" on the organization's site: "I'm a full time caregiver to my husband, . . . . The food provided by Feeding Tampa Bay has helped us enormously. The meals are well balanced . . . and taste great! We really appreciate the help during this time." |

“It is all one and the same Spirit. To be the greatest success, you do not want my gift, nor do I want yours . . . . Seek to be filled with Spirit, to have the reality of things incarnated in larger degree in your consciousness. Spirit will reveal to your understanding your own specific gift, or manner of God's desired manifestation through you. Let us not desert our own work, our own God within us, to gaze or pattern after our neighbor. Let us not seek to make his gift ours …” (H. Emilie Cady in “Spiritual Gifts” in Lessons in Truth). |
