This Sunday @ UCC: A Season of Spiritual Economics New World Now - Leddy Hammock
|
|
It isn’t what happens in the world “out there” that matters, but the way I deal with these appearances in consciousness.
I go within for a higher consciousness and gather ideas of God as my Source.
I build a strong consciousness of the omnipresence of substance. I do not judge by negative appearances.
I have a rich mentality. In this now moment, a beautiful new world order is taking form. I live my life with a heart wide open. |

| | Expand Your Prosperity Consciousness!
Leddy's Sunday lessons through September, will be a prosperity series based on the classic Eric Butterworth book "Spiritual Economics: The Principles and Process of True Prosperity".
Here's a sneak preview from chapter two of the book: I am a most important person to God, for I am His living enterprise. God is not off somewhere in space where I must strain to reach Him to get Him to work a miracle for me "if I am lucky." God is on my side. He has a stake in me. He is not someone to reach for but a Presence to accept. As Walt Whitman sings: Henceforth I ask not good fortune. I myself am good fortune.
Mark your calendar to be with us for this exciting series and take to heart this quote from Eric Butterworth.... "every person has the capacity to demonstrate supply, to demonstrate prosperity, to demonstrate abundance!" |

| | | | Remembering Mary Kahkonen!
|
| | Mary was born August 29, 1926, and passed October 16, 2016. Mary was a devout Christian and a faithful Unity member and Daily Word reader. She lived life to its fullest. She and her predeceased husband Walter were world-wide travelers and belonged to several Finnish organizations (and to Unity Church of Clearwater). Mary was a staunch advocate for animal rescue and adoptions and supporter of the Largo ASPCA, where she volunteered when she was able. (Mary took care to provide for the ongoing support of her splendid orange tabby, Billy Boy, who was also friends with welcome visitor, our Senior Minister.) Mary had also volunteered in our Nursery at Unity Church of Clearwater, years ago. Mary retired from the New York Public School System before she and Walter moved to Clearwater. Our Senior Minister was honored to conduct Walter’s service many years ago and also to conduct Mary’s Celebration of Life last November 4, at the National Cremation Society in Clearwater. Mary remembered our Church with a bequest of $189,300, for which we are deeply grateful. We see Mary radiant and forever free, and we bless her on her infinite way. |
| | | Engraved bricks for our Prayer Walkway north of the Sanctuary or for our Rainbow Bridge near the Peace Pond (for beloved pets) are such lovely ways to honor dear ones.
The engraving company asks that each order contain requests for five bricks are more. We could use four more orders for engraved bricks to complete our current order.

| | | | [St. John – in the Book of Revelations – speaks of writing to the angels of seven “churches” (types of spiritual consciousness).]
“There are seven types of people you can reach by writing to their angels.
‘TO THE ANGEL OF THE CHURCH IN EPHESUS WRITE. . . ’”
“The word Ephesus means ‘desirable, appealing.’ You may know appealing people who are hard to reach. Their outward life is full of excitement. They are emotional, lovers of amusement, theatrical in their tastes, dramatic in everything they do. Paul spent three years preaching Truth in Ephesus, because he realized such people were hard to reach and help. The wonderful thing to remember about those whom you are trying to help in this category is that they have an intense desire for greater good in their lives. Though they seem unsettled, they are easy to know, pleasant and agreeable, and they are interested in the finer things of life. By writing to their angels, stating the Truth about them, you easily reach that deeper phase of their nature, and they happily respond.
I once knew a fine person of t his type. His outer life was full of excitement. He was emotional, a lover of amusement, theatrical in his tastes, and dramatic in everything he did. He owed me for some work I had done for his firm. Several months had passed and I had not been paid. My affirmations had not brought results.
Finally I remembered the angel-writing technique, and one night (quite late), I quietly wrote: ‘To the angel of (let us say) John Brown, I bless you and give thanks that you are handling this financial matter promptly, and that I am immediately and completely paid.’ (I wrote this statement fifteen times, because many mystics believe that fifteen is the number that dissolves adversity and hard conditions.) After writing out the statement, I felt much better about the situation and was able to release it completely from my mind. Two days later, my friend telephoned to say his bookkeeper was writing my check and that I would receive it by mail the following day–and I did!”
