Construction Update
Three of these awesome chandeliers were ordered for our new Unity Chapel in honor of Bob Preston and all the great souls who selflessly served for so many years to bring our Church to this beautiful new beginning.  The Jones, Podnars, Gribbles, and Youngs have all given, so we've manifested the Light that shines for you at Unity!”

The lantern for the Unity Tower hasn't been chosen yet but we know a perfect one will appear.
Unity Construction Updates in weekly eNews and Sundays:

We've been told that all building permits could be issued by the city this week! What a blessing!

The picture above was taken last week as the ground was being graded and the stakes placed for the new school building.

Soon the fence on the east side of the building by the café entrance will be moved to the back of the building to free up parking spaces along that side of the church.

We're so very grateful for everyone's patience with parking, etc as we go through this process!

Our neighbors at the Dhamma Wheel Meditation Society continue to cheerfully loan us their water through a hose to run UCC's plumbing until ours is fixed.  Who knew the lines were placed much too close to the ground in the 1960's?

Thanks to the faithfulness of so many loving folks, we see our Church lovingly sustained through the autumn months while new beginnings take form.

Love and light, Leddy & Russ and Everyone at UCC!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Mirror, Mirror
Inspired by lyrics from “The Part of Me that Is You” by Sue Riley & Richard Mekdeci

“When the world tells me I’m less than whole,
I hear these words, spoken from my soul: ‘A Child of Mine
will not inherit disease.’ I am a Child of peace.

The part of me that is You knows only health and wholeness.
The part of me that is You knows only love and joy.
The part of me that is You is divine and ageless,
like a compass pointing to a north that’s true.
Then I remember what my heart already knows.

When I feel my back’s against the wall,
I hear a voice say, ‘Fight!’ but I refuse the call.
As Your Child, I choose the higher road and I know
You’ll always be there if I fall.

You are the Truth of who I am. I am a Child of peace.
When my self-respect is fading fast, frozen in the present,
Haunted by the past, I look in the mirror and I see Your face
and I remember what my heart already has. I bless the part of me that is You.”–the fairest of the fair.
Last Sunday's Shining Words:
Take my hand, I’ll stand beside you. Together we’ll make it through.
Take my love, now and always, I will be there for you.
We don't have a mask mandate at UCC.  In the meantime, we encourage vaccination for those who are eligible and we're grateful when folks kindly wear masks when near others indoors for now.

We look forward to reforming an exciting, magnetic Nursery and Pre-K and a fun, welcoming Fellowship gathering time in the beautiful new space when our new facility is ready.  As always, we believe we will will all get through this together.
For now, let's do fist or elbow bumps and Namaste instead of hugs!

WINGS Book Study Group with The Rev Cynthia Mackey
Tuesdays
12:00 PM Zoom

WINGS is our daytime Truth Book Study Group and is led by our UCC Minister of Education, The Reverend Cynthia Mackey.

The group includes men and women and there's always great discussion!

Make new friends, share ideas and explore Unity teachings in a supportive, positive environment!

WINGS will begin an in-depth look study of Frances Foulks’ classic New Thought book, Effectual Prayer

Frances W. Foulks takes the reader through eight steps of prayer–from what makes prayer effectual to actually living in the consciousness of the Christ.

This is a timeless book, so while writing style differs from what the contemporary reader may expect, it is like remembering your grandmother’s advice when faced with a current problem.

Rev. Foulks’ observations are astonishingly simple but not simplistic. In commenting on how we ourselves limit our capacity to receive an answer to our prayers, she says: “The answer desired when the prayer is offered may never be manifested, for as long as we are seeking things, our desires change with the fashions, and there is no perfect pattern for substance to follow.”

Join WINGS for this comprehensive class and learn how to pray effectually!

Attending the WINGS group can earn credit toward becoming a UCC Prayer Chaplain. Please check with Cynthia for more info.

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening "Faith Lift" Meditation Service
Wednesdays
7:00 PM
Livestream Only

Prayer is the foundation of the Unity movement and of Unity Church of Clearwater.

The Wednesday evening service features guided meditation, music, silence, and prayer.

Meditation is the process of listening to the “still, small voice” of God within us. Affirmative prayer is the highest form of creative thought and includes the release of negative thinking as well as holding in mind statements of spiritual Truth. The contemplative nature of entering into the silence allows people of like mind to share the power of sitting in the silence together.

We invite you to join us! This is an opportunity to raise the consciousness of oneness that is at the core of our Unity teachings.

Let us lift our consciousness to new heights through prayer and meditation, and help heal ourselves and our world!

How You Can Donate
We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.

The easiest option is our online donation form which can be found at: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/giving/

If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.

We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

Donate by Text! It's Super Easy!

Text "Give" (without quotes) to 833-679-1105 and follow the prompts.
Healing Thought # 135
In 1517, at 34, Martin Luther he reacted strenuously to indulgences by the Church and drew up 95 theses which he nailed to the door of the Schlosskirche (Church) at Wittenberg on Halloween. Among his main beliefs were that every person must minister to himself (or herself) and to others. He also taught that each individual may interpret scripture as it is most meaningful to him (or her) and he called for spiritual communities to be democratically self-governed (as is Unity Church of Clearwater). His words, translated from the German, about the call to ministry are still powerful today: "I will give myself a Christ to my neighbor; I will be to them as He has been to me.”
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

"I GIVE MYSELF A CHRIST TO MY NEIGHBOR AND REFLECT THE CHRIST SPIRIT TO OTHERS AS THE CHRIST IS REVEALED TO ME."
