This Sunday @ UCC: Know U Anywhere - Leddy Hammock
|
|
from I’d Know You Anywhere by Nancy Tillman
If one day we’re walking and talking, just us, and you looked different,
“I might be surprised, but just for a while. I’d know it was you by your magical smile.”
Even if you had been away for a long time and didn’t look at all like yourself, “I’d say, ‘My, my . . . that is quite a disguise!’ But I’d know it was you by the gleam in your eyes.”
“There are things about you quite unlike any other . . . Things always known by your father or mother. So, if you decide to be different one day, no worries . . . I’d know you anyway.”
“Yes, without question I’d know it was you.” “I know you by heart.” Because, child of God, “I’d know you anywhere.” |
| | Discover the Power within You!
|
| Tue, July 25 - TBD 7:00 PM Café
Eric Butterworth's inspiring tour de force, the author shares the greatest discovery of all time: the ability to see the divine within us all. Jesus saw this divine dimension in every human being, and Butterworth reveals this hidden and untapped resource to be a source of limitless abundance. Exploring this "depth potential," Butterworth outlines ways in which we can release the power locked within us for better health, greater confidence, increased success, and inspired openness to let our "light shine" forth for others.
Explore the classic Unity book "Discover the Power within You with Associate Minister, Judy Tafelski.

| | CPR Classes & Certification
|
| | Saturdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Peace COTTAGE
Do you know CPR?
Retired Belleair Lieutenant Charles Barlet, who was a fireman and EMS supervisor and a good friend of our member, Ms. Jackie Blake (beloved Belleair Firehouse "Mom" who made her transition a few years ago), is generously offering CPR/AED re-certification training, open to the public, here at the Peace Cottage.
Chuck has worked in Fire/EMS for over 31 years. He's certified through the American Heart Association since 1980, and has CPR/AED, First Aid, Pediatrics and Bloodborne Pathogen training and certification.
The class is very relaxed and easy and will last from 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Registration is $40 for the general public and $20 for UCC members
(Lieutenant Barlet also hosts a free non-certifying class in the children's wing of the Largo Library every three months for new parents.)
Chuck is available most Saturdays for the CPR training but phone/email confirmation is important to sync with his schedule
You may reach him by phone at 727-580-2845 or by email cpr4everybody@aol.com |

| | | | GETTING THE RIGHT SPIRITUAL ATTITUDE.
“What a difference it can make in a person’s life to realize that prosperity is divinely approved! A businesswoman was having difficulties in every phase of her life. She had a good income but it seemed to dissipate very rapidly and she had little to show for it. She was unable to get along with her co-workers; she was involved in a lawsuit in connection with her previous job; her doctor warned that she was on the brink of a nervous breakdown;’ her husband had left her, and her teenage children seemed to have turned against her.
One night a friend invited her to attend a prosperity lecture. That was the turning point in her life. She learned that prosperity and success are divinely approved; that prosperity is the peace, health, and plenty of a balanced way of life; that it begins with prosperous, successful, unlimited attitudes. As she began to dwell on the goodness of God and humankind, she began to experience a sense of peace such as she had not known for a long time.
As her attitudes changed, so did her way of life. In due time, her husband returned home; she was gradually able to establish a more harmonious relationship with her children; she did not have a nervous collapse; the lawsuit regarding her former job was quietly and amicably settled out of court; and she was able to get along well with her coworkers and find joy and satisfaction in her work. Indeed, she reflected a transformed attitude and a transformed appearance.”
(Catherine Ponder in The Prospering Power of Love [Unity School of Christianity, 1966]
