Why I Wear a Mask - Leddy Hammock
|
|
|
Wearing
a mask may not always be comfortable or convenient or cool, but here
are the reasons why I wear a face covering in public in the midst of the
pandemic.
I wear a mask as a sign that I am an attentive, thoughtful,
reasonable, responsible and caring spiritual being, currently going
through a human experience on the way to an infinite unfoldment and I
am not alone. I live among other spiritual beings also going through a
challenging human experience, knowing that we are coming through this
together and we will not wear this mask forever.
THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS.
M indfulness – a sign of spiritual consciousness
A wareness – a sign of spiritual compassion
S afety – a sign of spiritual consideration
K indness – a sign of spiritual courtesy
I am not fearful; I am faithful.
I am not over-protective; I am open-minded.
I am not political; I am perceptive.
I am not willful; I am willing.
I am not hateful; I am helpful. I love humankind and I love Life.
This virus will pass. The innate dignity, diligence, devotion and divinity of humankind will not pass.
This is why, for now, I gladly wear a mask. |

What really matters is: to “put down roots, do some good, take somebody’s hand.”

what really matters, what makes living this life worthwhile.”
What really matters is that “There may come a day when” someone – a teacher, a mentor, a friend - who has known you may remember you as someone who helped to “raise a kind child.” |

Why Table Talk? Well, because that's one thing we miss during this time. Sitting around a table in the café and talking together.
The table talk will last about an hour. Feel free to drop in for a few minutes or spend the whole hour with us.
Each week Deb will have a new topic and you will have the opportunity to learn something new about each other and to share your thoughts. You can choose to participate or just listen in, whatever is comfortable for you. It will be a fun time for all as we enjoy our Unity community and navigate a new normal of virtual social distancing.

We still are getting frequent questions has been: "what's the best way to send an offering to the church?"
We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your banks bill pay or on the church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.
