| Our building permit continues to move through the review process with the building department and we believe we should have their comments anytime now. We trust that any additional info they require will be minimal. Our contractor, Bill Botelho is working on securing bids so he can get right to work when the permit is issued.
Roadwork and clearing the church lot are continuing. Seeing progress each week!
|
| | We are deeply grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition. We are glad to welcome new friends on Sundays!
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!
Love and light, Leddy and all our UCC Family!

| “HOUSE HAUNTING”- (Is your house – your consciousness – “haunted?”) – Leddy Hammock
Written long ago as a farewell message to dear ones who lived far away, this poem was dedicated to friends we were visiting, as we said a fond farewell. (It was subsequently published in The National Library of Poetry in the early 1990’s.) In Unity, we give no power to so-called “ghosts,” but we do know that good, positive, happy thoughts make a very definite and profound impression on us. These positive ideas seem to “hang around” in our awareness. Please enjoy these lines as a fun way to say, “I will continue to think good thoughts of you and these positive thoughts will “hang around” as blessings in your life. Happy Halloween!”
“I'll be haunting your house after I've gone, you see. Because I really didn't want to go. I thought I ought to tell you, so you'd know. The thoughts we think are real; they have a life, you see. For, thoughts, in Truth, are things, this we have found (and even if we go, they hang around).
My thoughts will stay with you, after I've left, you see. They like to touch your tables, play your toys. They like to hear your clocks; they make no noise. My thoughts will haunt your house, after I've gone, you see. And when you go to work, they'll stay behind and pet the cats, who'll know (but never mind).
My thoughts will like it here, though only cats will see and, like wise cats, they'll never want to roam. They'll love your house, and make themselves at home. My thoughts will live with you, after I've left, you see. They'll feel at home, go up and down your stairs, sip from your tea-cups, lounging in your chairs.
My thoughts will walk your floors, after I've gone, you see, ling'ring in the corners of your halls, list'ning for the sounds of your footfalls. My thoughts will love it here, because you're here, you see. They'll guard your sleep whenever you're in bed, then press your pillow where you've laid your head.
My thoughts will rest in peace, being with you, you see, because I never ever want to go. I thought I ought to tell you, so you'd know.”
This Sun. Oct. 29 at 10:30 AM, will be our shared “Halloween Sunday.” The
UU Church at 2470 Nursery Rd welcomes us to attend their service and all school aged kids to join in
their Youth Classes.
All are welcome to wear Halloween costumes (no weapons) to church.
Let’s bring extra candy to share with kiddos at the Trunk or Treat in the UU parking lot, for the first of
many more such shared events. |
| | Last Sunday's Shining Words:
“God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in distress. Thus we do not fear, though earth be shaken and mountains quake to the depths of the sea…” (Ps. 46:2-3).
Love, cover me. Light any darkness. Love cover me, right every wrong. Cause me to see love over hatred. Guide me to be faithful and strong. |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening "Faith Lift" Meditation Service with The Rev Judy Tafelski
|
|
Wednesdays
7:00 PM Livestream Only
Prayer is the foundation of the Unity movement and of Unity Church of Clearwater.
The Wednesday evening service features guided meditation, music, silence, and prayer.
Meditation
is the process of listening to the “still, small voice” of God within
us. Affirmative prayer is the highest form of creative thought and
includes the release of negative thinking as well as holding in mind
statements of spiritual Truth. The contemplative nature of entering into
the silence allows people of like mind to share the power of sitting in
the silence together.
We invite you to join us! This is an
opportunity to raise the consciousness of oneness that is at the core of
our Unity teachings.
Let us lift our consciousness to new heights through prayer and meditation, and help heal ourselves and our world!

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
Your gifts to Unity Church of Clearwater are tax deductible as allowed
by law. Our life-affirming work is supported by the loving and generous
offerings of friends like you. Please give as your grateful spirit
leads you. You can also support Unity Church of Clearwater by leaving a
legacy of prayer and hope in your will or estate plan. Right now,
right where you are, you are blessing this ministry through your loving
thoughts and you, also, are blessed.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

“If you are not constantly conscious that God is the Source of your being and that God is universal Justice, Purity, Peace, Wisdom and Love, you wander from your polar star …. You [may] give way to a fit of anger or jealousy.... In every such thought, you are galvanizing into phenomenal life, vampires that will prey upon your consciousness . . . unless you unformulate their personality by denial, which is an acknowledgement that there is only God” (The Philosophy of Denial, Unity Tracts, 1894). |

OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:
“NOTHING AND NO ONE CAN TAKE MY GOOD FROM ME. I CROSS OUT BELIEF IN ERROR AND RISE UP IN
