This Sunday @ UCC: Wholeheartedness - Jan Garrett & JD Martin
|
|
Inspird by lyrics to “One Heart” by Jan Garrett & JD Martin):
There’s a new Church on the horizon, made of light, not of stone, calling now to all creation, “You are not alone.” We are One Heart, looking for answers.
We are One Soul, finding our way through the dark. Hold out your hand. Someone will take it and bring you home again. One dream, we share together. We are all a part of One Heart.
We are One Heart, One Soul, One Dream we share together.
We are One Heart, looking for answers; One Soul, finding our way through the dark.
One Dream, we share together. We are all a part of One Heart. |
| | Jan
& JD (with special guest Marcy Baruch) finally return with their
award winning songwriting, incomprable voices and heartfelt message!
Jan
and JD are multi-award-winning singer songwriters who live and create
their music in the mountains of Colorado near Aspen. Both are seasoned
performers and creative guides who teach with a twinkle, and inspire by
example. They call their 19-year partnership “The Heart of Harmony” not
only because they are happily married (to each other) but because they
get to write, record, sing, and play their music for appreciative
audiences around the country, and beyond. Their music is rich and
intelligent, a velvet-hammer wake-up call as satisfying to the soul as
it is to the ear…songs to open the heart and refresh the spirit.

| | | | | | EXPANDING YOUR MENTAL ACCEPTANCE OF BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDINGS
“When you are trying to expand your mental acceptance of beautiful surroundings and rich supply, it is good to study the life of David’s son Solomon. Historians state that during his forty-year rule, Solomon ‘spent money like water.’ The temple he built cost untold millions. He lived on a grand scale in his palace, eating from dishes made of solid gold . . . .
The prosperity prayer Solomon used early in his life became the foundation of his wealth: ‘Give thy servant therefore an understanding mind [heart], to govern thy people, that I may discern between good and evil.’ Charles Fillmore has written; ‘King Solomon was probably the world’s richest man, and in so far as the world is concerned he was a great success. He demonstrated prosperity. He did not ask God for riches. Let us note that carefully. He asked God for wisdom, for ideas. Go dis mind and His gifts are not material but spiritual, not things but ideas. Solomon asked for and received the ideas and then developed them himself. Because he was wise all the world came to his court seeking wisdom and bringing riches in exchange for it. The King of Tyre brought the material he needed to build the Temple. The Queen of Sheba brought him great quantities of gold. From this we should get our cue: ask God for rich ideas (substance) and then put them to work in our affairs.”
(Catherine Ponder in The Prospering Power of Love [Unity School of Christianity, 1966]
Your Weekly Prosperity Affirmation: I ASK GOD FOR RICH IDEAS (SUBSTANCE) AND THEN I PUT THEM TO WORK IN ALL MY AFFAIRS. THANK YOU, GOD!
