Our building permit has finished it's latest round of reviews and it has gone from 70 items requiring additional information to 21. We believe most of the remaining issues will be resolved easily.
Discovery Academy continues to work toward getting their certificate of occupancy, but have been slowed by some supply issues. We know the staff and students are looking forward to enjoying the campus and we continue to affirm their successful opening.

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Hold onto Love
|
|
Inspired by lyrics to “Hold onto Love” by Roger Tomhave & Dan Johnson
Live this love through all your days and make this world a better place. Hold onto love. Hold on.
You can search for love; you can hope and pray. Love’s most easily found when given away. Hold onto love. Hold on.
Let love be our choice each day. With these words we pray: Hold on to love. Hold on.
Live through love, not through fear. Take a stand for all that’s right. Shun the darkness, be the light. Hold on to love. Hold on. |
|
|
Last Sunday's Shining Words:
“The place where you stand is holy ground” (Exodus 3:5).
I am the place, you are the place, we are the place where God shows up! |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening Prayer/Meditation Service |
|
Wednesdays
7:00 PM Livestream Only
Prayer is the foundation of the Unity movement and of Unity Church of Clearwater.
The Wednesday evening service features guided meditation, music, silence, and prayer.
Meditation
is the process of listening to the “still, small voice” of God within
us. Affirmative prayer is the highest form of creative thought and
includes the release of negative thinking as well as holding in mind
statements of spiritual Truth. The contemplative nature of entering into
the silence allows people of like mind to share the power of sitting in
the silence together.
We invite you to join us! This is an
opportunity to raise the consciousness of oneness that is at the core of
our Unity teachings.
Let us lift our consciousness to new heights through prayer and meditation, and help heal ourselves and our world!

UCC's New Board Candidates

Nancy Simmons (pictured with husband Ted)
I've been enjoying Unity since 2000. I was attracted by the non- judgemental atmosphere and a sense of humor for the every day spiritual life.
I have lived with Hubby Ted off Nursery Rd for about 45 years.
I have a son and his wife who are techi nomads living between Japan and Thailand. We have one daughter and two lovely granddaughters.
I retired four years ago, after owning a medical supply business for 38 years. Took care of a developmentally disabled sister for 26 years and was President of AFIRE, Serving Persons with Developmental Disabilities, for 24 years.
Currently, I serve as President of Advocare Trust, a guardianship organization for special needs persons. |

Maryann Westmark (pictured with son Jono)
I was fortunate to grow up in a very large Catholic family in Southwestern Ohio. I left home at 18, moving to Florida to seek warmer weather and my independence. I soon realized that waitressing would not support my life goals, so I returned to Ohio and Miami University where I received a degree in Nursing. I have worked in healthcare ever since as an RN, currently at Empath health on a part-time basis in Employee Health.
I discovered Unity in 1999, following a traumatic divorce, and for the first time, truly felt I had found a church home!
I live in Pinellas Park, am married, have teo adult sons and one stepson. Many of you know my youngest, “Jono,” who has the challenge of cerebral palsy, and is an overcomer! (my hero!). Together, we have been doing speaking engagements to support PARC Center for Disabilities. Jono is very inspiring!
I am hopeful that my diversified background will be an asset to our Unity mission. I look forward to serving you.

About Unity's Winged Globe

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.
Your gifts to Unity Church of Clearwater are tax deductible as allowed
by law. Our life-affirming work is supported by the loving and generous
offerings of friends like you. Please give as your grateful spirit
leads you. You can also support Unity Church of Clearwater by leaving a
legacy of prayer and hope in your will or estate plan. Right now,
right where you are, you are blessing this ministry through your loving
thoughts and you, also, are blessed.
If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.
We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

“Love is the heart of God's heart to us; it is the motive in God's creation of us; it is all that He demands of us, for in its completeness all other forms of God reside.… Flowers are the love tokens of the Infinite…. Family ties, community interests, cooperative enterprises, are networks of love that hold society together” (Imelda Shanklin, Unity teacher in the early days of Unity). |

OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:
“LOVE FULFILLS THE LAW, NEVER FAILS, CASTS OUT FEAR, AND GIVES THE PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING.”
