MANY OF OUR FOLKS ARE ASKING, "WHEN WILL WE GET TO GATHER AT UNITY CHURCH OF CLEARWATER FOR WORSHIP AGAIN?"

Although it seems that Florida places of worship are free to make their own rules regarding gathering, our wise and loving Board and Ministry Team are agreed that it just isn't time to gather in person yet. But, when the time is right, the day will come!

We're not fearful, we're just following our best Light to be ready to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our "Homecoming." Although we are trusting in God as our Source to manifest the many fixed costs of maintaining our facilities, we are not giving in to fear. Presently, we may be reaching at least as many people on Sundays and Wednesday evenings than were usually visiting UCC in person before the guidelines became necessary. As of yesterday, May 18, Florida's Governor has initiated the "Phase 1" of current guidelines for going forward.

According to Phase 1, the best course seems to be as follows: just as our schools continue with distance learning for now, Unity Church of Clearwater continues with distance worship. We want to set a good example, and so we wear masks that cover our mouths and noses in public, keep social distance of six feet or more, and we keep on practicing spiritual closeness and prayer support. Jesus promised, "I am with you always," so we know that the Christ presence does, indeed, gather us together, every moment, everywhere.

Perhaps the experience we are going through is in part a lesson in realizing -- once again -- that our Church is not just a building. It is a spiritual consciousness, elelgant, spacious, accessible and very comfortable in cyberspace. We now affirm that we are gathered in the conscious awareness of the the Presence of Jesus Christ and we are open, receptive, responsive, and obedient to the instruction and guidance of the Christ Mind in everything!" We are one in Unity, every moment, and it's wonderful! The current appearances won't last forever. We are coming through all this together, getting stronger in faith and purpose we journey forward.

Meantime, every message sent to prayers@unityofclearwater.org is answered by me. Every call to the Church phone is answered, 24/7, and/or phone messages are quickly returned. Anyone who feels so led is welcome to come out and wash the outsides of our windows or do landscaping on the grounds -- just please practice social distancing,

Dear Ones. It's not the outer environment that brought us to Unity in the first place; it was always the Truth principles that we have been seeking all our lives that drew us to Unity. We continue to broadcast those principles! For now, we're ever so grateful for our many helpers who keep our facilities bright and welcoming for the happy day when we can plan a real "Homecoming."

When Zoom cooperates, we still have great music for our services and are working on ways to "Zoom in" guest musicians who are eager to share their wonderful music especially for us! Watch our eNews for announcements of concerts and special appearances!

Love all the time, every single minute, right where you are!

Lesson Title: - Expect the Best Holiday
Negative expectations come to nothing, while positive and loving thoughts are manifesting now. Every good thought, like an angel presence, goes before me to make my way easy, safe, prosperous, and happy.

I deny the stumbling blocks of doubt, fear, and worry, and instead I build up a strong and positive consciousness that paves the way to good outcomes. I reflect on the good I expect, and as I conceive it, I receive it – or something even better!

Expecting the best, even when we are faced with the worst, gives meaning to the memory of all the heroic sacrifices that have been made us by others who expected a better life for us.

Let us now work together to manifest the best holiday we can right now and a better life for planet earth in the days to come.
THIS WEEK! Join Us on Zoom! It's Easy!!
Beginning This Thursday, May 21
12:00 PM

Bring your lunch and let's get together and chat!

Yep, Board Member & President of Hospitality, Deb Larkin will be hosting a weekly Zoom "Table Talk Thursday" call so we can see each others faces and hear each others voices.

Why Table Talk? Well, because that's one thing we miss during this time. Sitting around a table in the café and talking together.

The table talk will last about an hour. Feel free to drop in for a few minutes or spend the whole hour with us.

Each week Deb will have a new topic and you will have the opportunity to learn something new about each other and to share your thoughts. You can choose to participate or just listen in, whatever is comfortable for you. It will be a fun time for all as we enjoy our Unity community and navigate a new normal of virtual social distancing.

This Week's Kind Words from Mary Elliott
“We are, and will, come through stronger than ever, this we know!

Will miss singing on Sunday, but always singing a happy song in my mind and heart when it comes to Unity.

Looking forward to all of us together again really soon!

Be well and be safe!”
Beautiful Pic from the Cottage
Thanks to Rick Preston for sending us this great picture of the Gazebo at Peace Cottage. Rick's parents, Bob and Dorothea, donated the gazebo many years ago and seeing It reminds us that while we may be socially distanced, we're not spiritually distanced.

Thanks also Rick, Dennis Carney, Geoff Mackey, and Phil Henne for helping keep an eye on the church property and doing maintenance, cleaning, organizing and landscaping during this time. We all rest easier knowing you're holding down the fort.
How You Can Donate
In recent week's a frequent question has been: "what's the best way to send an offering to the church?"

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.

The easiest option is our online donation form which can be found at: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/giving/

If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your banks bill pay or on the church's donation form.

We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

Healing Thoughts # 8
"Faith is expectancy, 'According to your faith be it unto you.' We might say, according to your expectancies be it done unto you; so, what are you expecting? . . . . Change your expectancies and you change your conditions. . . . Begin to act as if you expected success happiness and abundance; prepare for your good. Do something to show you expect it to come . . . . Begin to make friends with the things you desire or require. . . . Keep on noticing beautiful things, and you make an invisible contact. Sooner or later these things are draw into your life . . . . 'MY soul, wait thou only upon God: for my expectation is from Him.'

This is a most important statement from the 62nd Psalm. . . . We might say, expectancy is the substance of the things hoped for" -- Florence Scovel Shinn in 'What Do You Expect?' in The Secret Door to Success (which contains the following affirmation).
Your Weekly Affirmation:

"I EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED, MY GLORIOUS GOOD NOW COMES TO PASS."
