Unity: A Simple Theology - LH, the New Year of Corona, 2021
I like the sound of Unity, simple enough theology: just love, only love.
“First, just keep that one command, and love the God you understand as Love, only Love.
With all your heart and soul and mind, seek God as Love
and you will find true Love.  Only love.”
Sounds simple, not so easy, though, for, hate …. I’ll have to let that go, and love, only love?
But, those who don’t agree with me?  How can I love my enemy?
“Just love, only love.  You’ll love your neighbor just as well as you have learned to love yourself. Just love, only love.  The new commandment that I give:  love one another, and you’ll live in Love. Only love.  Trust in your Shepherd, don’t hold back,
and there is nothing you will lack. You only need love.  Love can give you peace on earth.
Just learn to love for all you’re worth. Just love, only love.
by Leddy Hammock, February of Corona, 2021

A great soul who lived this simple theology, Sojourner Truth, was a great spiritual master in American history. Born into slavery, having endured the worst imaginable treatment by those who bought and sold her and her children, she became filled with love for everyone. She said: "I feel safe even in the midst of my enemies for Truth is powerful and will prevail."
Leddy's Lesson this Sunday: - Draw a Heart
Inspired by lyrics to “Infinite Surface of the Heart” by Sloan Wainwright

“How is a life tattooed upon the heart? What is the way that it is drawn?  Does it require a steady hand? Who holds the pen, holds the pen? How do you choose the best design? Where do the colors begin and end? Are there limits? Is there room? Is it different for everyone? … The measure of a heart and all it holds, the sacred Truth of what I know . . . . How is a life tattooed upon the heart? . . . Ever expanding, endless canvass, the infinite surface of the heart.”

In every decision, I take Spirit’s guidance to heart.
My heart is designed for Love and drawn to Love.   All through my life, Spirit strengthens and seals my heart with signs of love. The sacred Truth I know is that God loves me
and has drawn a heart around my life.

Welcome, Our Two Candidates to the Board!
Ed Marinacci
Pat Warren
I retired 2 years ago from a long satisfying career as a Project Manager/Facility Planner. Presently I am a dog walker. I just love my clients. They are fun and keep me in motion! I have 2 dogs of my own Millie and Hank. I enjoy being outdoors walking, hiking, biking and swimming. I'm really glad that I have made so many friends. I enjoy each and every one of them. Previously, I served one other full term and fulfilled the last year of an additional term, and now am delighted to be eligible to serve another term for my home Church!
Hello, I’m honored and excited to join the Board for another term. Unity has meant so much to my life and I look forward to joining the Board.
I’m retired from the City of Clearwater (32 years). After I retired from the City, I worked at Morton Plant Hospital in the Volunteer Office for 2 years and at the Information Desk for 1 year. I continue to volunteer for the hospital at an adult cancer survivor camp each year. I also volunteer at Church in the media loft and the Church Office. Since we can’t meet in person right now, I’m volunteering from home by promoting our online services and other events on social media sites. I love doing this and look forward to the day it’s safe to meet in person.
And Our New Ordinands!

How You Can Donate
Folks are still asking: "What's the best way to send an offering to the Church?"

We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.

The easiest option is our online donation form which can be found at: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/giving/

If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.

We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

Celebrating Black History Month
This February, as the U.S. begins its month-long commemoration of the contributions and achievements of Black Americans throughout history, the University of Missouri–St. Louis (our Sr. Minister's alma mater) takes a moment to honor the accomplishments of UMSL students, alumni, staff and faculty. Those featured in two of these stories lead communities, improve the health and education of the St. Louis region, make the best of tough situations, work to improve the lives around them and so much more.

Ammarra Berry looks to organizational leadership for career advancement
Ammarra Berry started the organizational leadership program during the fall semester with an eye toward career advancement. The granddaughter of legendary rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Chuck Berry, she believes an UMSL degree will help her provide the same sort of opportunities she had growing up to her own daughter. The newly launched program is intended to provide individuals with associates degrees or previously earned college credits with a rapid pathway to a bachelor’s degree.
State Teacher of the Year Darrion Cockrell makes fitness fun for everyone
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education named Darrion Cockrell the 2021 Missouri Teacher of the Year. Cockrell, a physical education teacher at Crestwood Elementary School, has forged strong bonds with students, staff and parents while overhauling the school’s fitness program. Cockrell began teaching at Crestwood Elementary in 2015, implementing his “Crest-Fit” training program. He was inspired to rethink the school’s approach to fitness by former First Lady Michelle Obama and her initiatives to address childhood obesity.
UCC Contributes Monthly to Feeding Tampa Bay
UCC continues to contribute to FeedingTampaBay.org.  They have doubled their weekly meals distributed from 1 million meals to 2 million, establishing six weekly mega pantries serving nearly 10,000 families each week and converting their mobile pantries to a drive-thru model for increased distribution and safety.  Message from "Rosie" on the organization's site:  "I'm a full time caregiver to my husband, . . . . The food provided by Feeding Tampa Bay has helped us enormously.  The meals are well balanced . . . and taste great!  We really appreciate the help during this time."
Healing Thought # 46
“Love is a divine attribute; it is an idea in the one Mind. God is love and love is God, or a quality in Being. The difference between divine love and human love is that divine love is broad and unlimited, a universal and harmonizing power.... In reality there is only one love....  Divine love will establish one in fearlessness and courage.... When love is established in the consciousness it will draw to us all that we require to make us happy and contented, all that really belongs to us. We develop love in our heart by asking daily that the infinite love of the Father be poured out upon us; by praying, meditating, and affirming that we are one with and express at all times the perfect love of God” (Charles Fillmore, Metaphysical Bible Dictionary).
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

“I AM ONE WITH THE INFINITE HEART OF GOD, ENFOLDED WITH HEALING LOVE.”

THANK YOU, GOD!
