Construction Update
Those who feel led to give a gift (any amount) in honor of the Prestons and others who have made our Church shine brightly are encouraged to mark their gifts as “Light for Unity.”

If you choose to make an online donation, choose the "giving type" as "chandeliers in memory of dear ones."

Gifts so noted will be directed to the purchase of chandeliers for the new Unity Chapel and a sparkling lantern for the new Unity Tower, the “Light that shines for you.”

All of the light fixtures cost about $500 each. Any amount given towards these will be gratefully received and acknowledged.

"The lantern for the Unity Tower hasn't been chosen yet, but the three chandeliers for the Unity Chapel will cost a total of about $1500 and so far, a total of $150 has been donated, for which we are truly grateful. We know God is our Source."

Jeff Jones & Esther Hulse and also the Gribble Family (Judy, Bill, Kohl, and Charles) have given $500 each toward the purchase of the new chandeliers for the new Unity Chapel and have generously even covered the processing fees of $15. We are so grateful!
As we get new information we'll keep you up to date here in our eNews and with announcements on Sundays.

Dear Unity Family,

As we stand on the threshold of Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year), it feels like the perfect time to announce our joyous new beginning - a fresh, sweet start at Unity!

What a time we have had this past three years! While considering two successive charter school proposals, we were confronted with Covid-19, gathered on Zoom before we could more safely gather in person for services and classes, kept refining the elegant conceptual plan for the new Church home envisioned on the shores of Peace Pond, reorganized, cleared and stored contents of our entire complex, and faced forward! Our folks rolled up their sleeves and helped!

We sold five of our seven acres, leased back our fifty-year old Sanctuary for the interim and our staff worked remotely, while maintaining the worship space where we happily gathered on Sundays. After several months of starts and stops due to city regulations and municipal mediation, at last we got the news this week:

The site permit has been issued for the new UCC/Discovery Academy campus and the construction fencing is back in place! Site work may begin next week :-)

Because of your faithful support, our ministry always refills with super substance like a horn of plenty. We give thanks together for an exciting new year in Unity!

Love and light, Leddy & All at UCC!

Contributions to the ministry during this interim period help to sustain the Church and manage unexpected expenses. We are grateful for the love!

Meantime, join us at 11:00 AM on Sunday mornings in person or by livestream!

Last Sunday's Shining Words
“I’m letting go of holding on. God is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

I’m letting go of holding on, seeking first the kingdom of God.

“I let go of the feelings that feed on lack and greed. I let go of the reasons keeping me in need. I let go of the fear that there’s never enough and I stop holding on, to what is not love.”

The loaves and the fishes were blessed, then released, and barely enough turned into a feast.”
This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Amazing Things
Inspired by lyrics from “Amazing Things” by Jana Stanfield:

We will do amazing things, with the choice each new day brings. And with every breath you take, list the progress that you make.

The reason you live is there is every gift you give. Love your life, love your dreams. You will do amazing things. Amazing, amazing, you will do amazing things.

Oh, the places you will go and the people you will know! Don’t worry when or where or how. You don’t need to know that now. You’re on the right track, no need to look ahead or back. Just enjoy what this day brings. You will do amazing things.

You don’t have to work it out, just stay in the here and now, let your mind rest for a little while. Sometimes deepest answers come when you’re out there having fun.  Close your eyes and take a break and smile. Amazing! You will do amazing things!
We don't have a mask mandate at UCC. However, because UCC is pro-children and pro-families, we are encouraging vaccination for those who are eligible and asking folks to wear masks when near others indoors.

We are pausing our Pre-K childcare and nursery for the time being, in the interest of safety and well-being for all. We will all get through this together.
For now, let's do fist or elbow bumps and Namaste instead of hugs!

WINGS Book Study Group with The Rev Cynthia Mackey
Tuesdays
12:00 PM
Zoom

WINGS is our daytime Truth Book Study Group and is led by our UCC Minister of Education, The Reverend Cynthia Mackey.

The group includes men and women and there's always great discussion!

Make new friends, share ideas and explore Unity teachings in a supportive, positive environment!

WINGS will begin an in-depth look study of Frances Foulks’ classic New Thought book, Effectual Prayer

Frances W. Foulks takes the reader through eight steps of prayer–from what makes prayer effectual to actually living in the consciousness of the Christ.

This is a timeless book, so while writing style differs from what the contemporary reader may expect, it is like remembering your grandmother’s advice when faced with a current problem.

Rev. Foulks’ observations are astonishingly simple but not simplistic. In commenting on how we ourselves limit our capacity to receive an answer to our prayers, she says: “The answer desired when the prayer is offered may never be manifested, for as long as we are seeking things, our desires change with the fashions, and there is no perfect pattern for substance to follow.”

Join WINGS for this comprehensive class and learn how to pray effectually!

Attending the WINGS group can earn credit toward becoming a UCC Prayer Chaplain. Please check with Cynthia for more info.

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening "Faith Lift" Meditation Service
Wednesdays
7:00 PM
Livestream Only

Prayer is the foundation of the Unity movement and of Unity Church of Clearwater.

The Wednesday evening service features guided meditation, music, silence, and prayer.

Meditation is the process of listening to the “still, small voice” of God within us. Affirmative prayer is the highest form of creative thought and includes the release of negative thinking as well as holding in mind statements of spiritual Truth. The contemplative nature of entering into the silence allows people of like mind to share the power of sitting in the silence together.

We invite you to join us! This is an opportunity to raise the consciousness of oneness that is at the core of our Unity teachings.

Let us lift our consciousness to new heights through prayer and meditation, and help heal ourselves and our world!

How You Can Donate
We're checking mail every day, so checks sent through the mail are fine, as are checks sent from your bank's online bill pay.

The easiest option is our online donation form which can be found at: https://www.unityofclearwater.org/giving/

If you feel led you might consider setting up an automatic recurring donation. This can be done through your bank's bill pay or on the Church's donation form.

We've also been asked about the processing fees the church has to pay when the online form is used. The fees are a small percentage (3&-4%) of the total donation, however there is an option to cover fees that you may select if you feel so inclined. Every little bit helps and we're grateful if you decide to turn that option on.

Donate by Text! It's Super Easy!

Text "Give" (without quotes) to 833-679-1105 and follow the prompts.

“You're off to Great Places! You're off and away! . . . You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know.  And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go. . . . And then things start to happen, don't worry. Don't stew. Just go right along. You'll start happening too” (Drt.
