This Sunday @ UCC:
Lesson Title: A Day in the Life
Inspired by “This Thing Called Life” by Faith Rivera:

“Today is the day I will change my luck. I will find three pennies and they’ll be heads up. I will walk like a queen in my tennis and jeans ‘cause I know where I come from.

From the stars and the sun, from the magical One, I am part of this thing called Life. From the known to unseen, ev’rything in between, I am part of this thing called Life. I am one with this thing called life.

Today is the day I’ll remember to see only good, only God happening through you and me. I will not forget all the treasures due me ‘cause I know where I come from.

Today is the day I’ll be more of myself. Love my skin, where I’ve been, and ev’ryone else. No more push, no more pull, simply flow as I go ‘Cause I know where I come from.”
Bible Awards
A Keepsake Bible for Youth Ministry Students!

As soon as we have at least three school age Unity students who have attended Youth Ministry classes here at least ten times during twelve months, their teachers here will be happy to plan with their parent(s) a Sunday in which to plan to include a short ceremony during the beginning of our Sunday Worship service to honor these excellent and dedicated students with a brand new, personal keepsake New American Bible, as a lovegift from Unity Church of Clearwater, inscribed with their names and the date of the award, for their lifelong use and remembrance.

Please see our Youth Ministry Coordinator and Certified Truth Teacher, Cynthia Mackey for more information.

“A very important work in soul culture is the establishment of a faith substance. Once we discern this law of soul building by faith, we find the Hebrew Scriptures full of illustrations of it. The 1st chapter of Luke's Gospel tells us how Elisabeth and Zacharias were told by an angel that they would have a son and that his name would be John. Zacharias was burning incense at the altar in the exercise of his duties as a priest. This means that when the mind is looking toward Spirit, even if it be in a blind way, and is seeking spiritual things, it will become spiritualized. The burning of incense typifies spiritualization. Zacharias represents the perceptive and Elisabeth the receptive qualities of the soul. When these two work in conjunction in prayer, meditation, and aspiration, the soul is open to the higher thoughts or angels that bring the promise of a new and definite state of consciousness. Zacharias doubted the promise of a son because his wife was past the age of childbearing, and because of his doubts he was stricken dumb. This means that when we perceive spiritual Truth and doubt it, we retard its outer expression; it cannot be spoken into manifestation through us because of our doubt. All the growth is then thrown upon the soul. Elisabeth ‘hid herself five months,’ but when the soul begins to feel the presence of the new ego [self-realization] or new state of consciousness, then we again come into faith expression: the speech of Zacharias is restored.”
