A Message from Leddy
In Unity for healing and peace after tragedy . . . .

Our prayers go out to others who mourn the victims of senseless violence. We mourn together. We also heal together.

Our prayers go in, directed inward to do the transforming work of opening our own consciousness to the cleansing power of understanding faith.

In our prayers, we seek not to change God’s mind, but to all the Holy Spirit to change our own minds. The words of this Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi are ancient, yet they are still true:

“Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying [to selfishness and fear] that we are born again to eternal life. Amen.”

Our Church is still a shining sanctuary of peace and reflection, of fearless faith, healing at depth and of world transforming prayer. Please be with us in person and in Spirit at UCC on Wednesday evening, November 8, at 7:00 PM, when The Reverend Judy Tafelski will guide us to pray together for healing and peace for our world. Lord, grant us peace.
This Sunday @ UCC:
Brave Enough- Guest Speaker: Chelley Seibert
I am brave enough to claim for my just reward.

I am brave enough to face a tall challenge.

I am brave enough to let go of the past and follow my calling.

I am brave enough to follow my inner guidance and do one thing that scares me, every day.

Our upcoming Sunday service is on the message of "Brave Enough." Our wonderful guest speaker will deal with issues of gun violence, the pledge of police to serve and protect, and the right to gather as a people of faith to go forth in peace and on purpose to create a more harmonious world.

Please be with us this Sunday morning, November 12 at 10:30 AM, to hear Chelley Seibert in person, deliver a truly empowering message at a time when we can really use it. Lord, grant us peace.

A message from Chelley Seibert (pronounced Shelly S-I-bert):
You have a calling. Deep down inside you, you know this is true: You feel it with every inch of your body, every cell of your being. The calling is the deepest yearning of your heart.

It may have surprised you when you first realized your calling. You may have even run away as it beckoned come. Ahh, but one’s calling has a way of pursuing! That calling, comes from the very Life that you are. That Life is reaching for you and it is all good. It is what is real. It is reaching for you beyond the battle scars you carry, beyond the negative tapes and programming running through your mind.

You are familiar with the false messages we carry: “I’m not good enough”… “I’m a fraud!”… “No one could possibly love me if they knew who I really was!” We’ve all done it to some extent — we’ve believed what is not true and we have settled for less.

Do. Not. Settle. Life is calling you. Why hide? Now is your moment to step into your calling, your authentic life. This world is incomplete until you share the gifts you have. My heart – my calling – is to see you Live the life you were born to live, and give the gifts you were born to give.

“A wealthy woman has told how she used prosperous decrees during the Depression years when her husband’s business was being challenged. She gathered together her children daily, to sit for some time and speak definite prosperity affirmations for the business. Often they declared: ‘Large sums of money now come into the business in God’s own wonderful way.’ Often they decreed the words of the psalmist: ‘Send now prosperity.’ And paraphrasing the decrees of Genesis, they affirmed: “Let there be abundant supply, and let it come forth now with the ease, speed, and wisdom of Spirit.’”
