Sat, Oct 20 9:00 - 11:00 AM UCC Campus
Hi all,
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!
We'll be seeing our seasonal members return in the next few weeks, so thanks for all you do to keep things sparkling and ready for them.
Lots to do inside as always, and of course plenty outside for you heat lovers.
See you in the morning!

If you aren't familiar with Express
Saturday, it's our bi-weekly opportunity to come together and make
the church shine. We give the building a good cleaning from top to
bottom and some folks like to do a little gardening during that time.
We also make time to socialize, because maintaining our Church means not
only "housekeeping," for also friendly "home-making."
It's a great way to make friends and
feel the wonderful satisfaction that comes from working together in the
House Built on Love!
We also have opportunities to serve for those that prefer to work outside!
Whether you can be with us or not, have a safe, peaceful, and prosperous weekend! |

This Sunday @ UCC: Making the Grade: Leddy Hammock
|
|
There is a lesson to be learned in every experience.
Every lesson is worthwhile and we teach as we learn.
Whatever we go through, it’s what we grow through that counts.
Life is a school. What we used to call “problems” we now call “projects.”
The inner Teacher sends a message: peace and harmony. |

Theosophical Society Meeting |

Sat, Oct 20 1:30 - 4:00 PM Peace COTTAGE
Rising Above Negative Thoughts and Emotions
Presenter: David Winfree
Negative thoughts and emotions impact all of us from time to time. Sometimes they surge for a moment and sometimes they take over, destroying our peace, calm and happiness. This class will explain the positive purpose of the lower-negative emotions. The positive value in occasionally having some negative emotions will be addressed. This class will explore the underlying subtle energetic nature of our thoughts and emotions, how our thoughts and emotions interact, and how negative emotions can become excessive and take over.
David will point out how having a clear understanding of what is taking place can be used to avoid moving into cycles of negative thoughts and emotions and shift our thoughts and emotions toward the positive. He will help us see how we may rise above our negative thoughts and emotions.
Theosophy exists to serve humanity by encouraging open-minded inquiry into world religions, philosophy, science and the arts in order to understand the wisdom of the ages, respect the unity of all life, and help people explore spiritual self-transformation.
Refreshments Available, but please fee free to bring some. Suggested Donation $5 - $10
