We
look forward to every Service Saturday! Yes, because we get a lot done,
but mostly it's just fun to have an opportunity to visit and break
bread together. See you mañana!
A couple of special tasks that will need some TLC:
- The New World Room could use a little organizing and cleaning
- The welcome counter in the lobby could also use some organizing
You are most welcome to join us and we look forward to pouring lots of love in to our House Built on Love! You are the "Heart of the House!"
Service
Saturdays are good times to build friendship and community by working
and laughing together, taking care of our Church home and gratefully
breaking bread together in the Café.
Whether you can be with us or not, have a great weekend! |

This Sunday @ UCC: Forgettery
|
|
Inspired by lyrics to “What I Hold Onto” by Sue Riley & Melinda Wood Allen
“With the hard-earned wisdom I have now, I wouldn’t do again what my old self would allow.
Letting go of all the blame and heartache, now I see. I’m getting closer to a new, more peaceful me.
I’m holding on to what I want to keep. I feel lighter, I sleep better, its love that’s holding me.
Now I can stand back and see: The past is the past, but the future’s up to me.
What I hold on to holds on to me. Resentments I carried wouldn’t let me be free.
My new religion is live and let be. What I hold on to holds onto me.” |

| | | Sat, Nov 3 10:00 AM Peace COTTAGE
Our friend, retired fireman, Lt. Charles Barlet , offers CPR training for certification nearly every Saturday morning at the Peace Cottage between 10 am and noon.
Please write to him, C. Barlet, at cpr4everybody@aol.com to reserve your space.
UCC Church members get a special rate, so please let him know! |
| Lt. Barlet has offered to present a FREE general information (non-certifying) class on CPR on a Tuesday evening here at Church, on an evening in late July, in August, or in September.
If you are interested, please respond to: info@unityofclearwater.org and let us know!
When we get at least ten folks ready to attend, we'll schedule the class here in the Café. |
| | Theosophical Society Meeting |
| Sat, Nov 3 10:00 AM Peace COTTAGE
“PILLARS OF WISDOM AND THE PIVOTAL ROLE OF MODERN THEOSOPHY”
International Speaker: Scott Olsen, Ph.D.
Some
of the deepest mysteries surrounding Theosophy continue to remain
veiled, even to theosophists. By following historical hints from H.P.
Blavatsky, the Mahatma letters, and other clues (including initiation
into the mysteries, connections to the Pythagoreans and
Plato, and the intriguing circumstances surrounding George Henry Felt
and the founding of the Theosophical Society), the pivotal role of
Modern Theosophy will be revealed. This presentation is intended to help
theosophists recognize the significance their foundational ideas have
in the present discoveries cascading throughout the sciences.
All are welcome!
