Thoughts and Prayers
Calling for prayer and loving mindfulness concerning harmony and divine guidance for all people, as well as healing, comforting thoughts for all affected by the train derailment in Washington and the rescue work of firefighters in California.

Peace on earth, goodwill to humankind. Divine Love enfolds our world.
This Sunday @ UCC:
The Night You Were Born - Leddy Hammock
Inspired by words by Nancy Tillman:

On the night or day that each of us was born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see each of us, and the night wind whispered, “Life will never be the same.” Because there had never been anyone like any of us, ever in the world.

So enchanted with every child was the wind and the rain, that they whispered the sound of each baby’s name. The sound of each name is a magical one.

Now, we’ll whisper, very softly, for every baby being born, all over the world: “You are the light of the world.”

So whenever we doubt just how special we are – and we wonder who loves us, how much and how far, listen for the sound of the voice of the one known as the Light of the World whispering our names, and know that we are each unique and every one dearly loved.

This is true of every newborn child: “Never before in story or rhyme (not even once upon a time) has the world ever known a YOU, my friend,
and it never will, not ever again.

Heaven blew every trumpet and played every horn on the wonderful, marvelous night you were born” and forevermore, there is joy in our hearts.

December Heart of the House - Ginny & John McKinley
They were childhood sweethearts, born and raised in Winchester, MA, attending the same elementary and junior high schools. Their roads diverged in high school when John McKinley attended an agricultural vocational school in Danvers, then did a three-year stint in the Army while Ginny Larson trained as an R.N. at Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Boston preparing for a career that would span the next 48 years. She also took writing courses at the University of New Hampshire and sold some short stories to help finance her nurse’s training. (She has since completed a novel with an unusual plot, as yet not submitted for publication.)

After their marriage, John earned his degree in education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, planning to become a teacher, but because of low demand then for teachers, he began managing a “gentleman’s farm” owned by a Harvard vice-president. The farm specialized in raising prime breeding dairy cows. During these years, two sons were born. Both, as adults, enjoy fulfilling careers. One is a chef; one breeds hunting/bird dogs. Beloved daughters-in-law and three grandsons have enhanced the McKinley family.

THE ANCIENT PROSPERITY PRINCIPLE

“Tithing is a powerful prosperity principle because it causes the tither to invoke the basic law of prosperity: giving and receiving. In modern time we have heard the term ‘giving and receiving’ so often that we may be inclined to discount its importance. But in ancient Egypt, the prosperity law of giving and receiving was considered so powerful that it was a secret teaching, given only to the privileged few, as were all the Hermetic principles. In fact, the law of giving and receiving was considered such a powerful law that the Egyptian rulers dared not share it with the masses, if they wished to continue controlling them. In some ways, the law is still a ‘secret’ teaching, because most people today do not fully understand its power for prosperity and achievement.”

I PRACTICE THE PROSPERITY LAW OF GIVING AND RECEIVING – NOT TO HAVE CONTROL OVER OTHERS, BUT TO BE IN THE FLOW OF PROSPERITY!
