| | Sat, January 6 9:00 AM UCC Campus
Like every year, we say, it's hard to believe it's another new year already! We trust 2018 will be full of peace, happiness, prosperity, wonderful surprises, and let's add "kept" resolutions! Now here's the segue.... In keeping with those resolutions for the new year why not add volunteering at UCC. Of course, Service Saturday is a great way to start :-)
And to our always faithful volunteers, we appreciate all you do and we're grateful to you for always welcoming new folks to help.
Special tasks that could be undertaken:
- Christmas decorations can be taken down and stored
- The "Unity Express" could use a little TLC in the form of washing and checking the batteries
We start at 9:00 AM and later will enjoy a great lunch together at noon.
In addition to our usual, fellowship, cleaning, organizing, gardening, etc:
- Cleaning windows
- Refreshing bookstore displays
- Tidying the shelves in the kitchen & pantry
- Taking out recyclables
- Cleaning the refrigerators
- Cleaning up the "Unity Express" golf cart
- Putting away supplies
- Checking fluorescent lights
- And lots more
You are most welcome to join us and we look forward to pouring lots of love in to our House Built on Love! You are the "Heart of the House!"
Service
Saturdays are good times to build friendship and community by working
and laughing together, taking care of our Church home and gratefully
breaking bread together in the Café.
Click the RSVP button below to let us know you'll be able to join us! |

This Sunday @ UCC: Happy New You - Leddy Hammock
|
|
Inspired by lyrics to “If You Want To Be Happy” (Words and music by Sloan Wainwright, Sue Riley, Jana Stanfield):
“Don’t believe all that you think – if you want to be happy.”
“If you want to be happy, be careful what you say. Resist the urge to criticize when things don't go your way.
You can't make yourself feel better putting other people down. Remember words can hurt you when they come back around.”
“Focus on the things you have, not what you haven't got – if you want to be happy.” “Give up control.” “Trust the Mystery – if you want to be happy.” |
