Hi all,
As I am sure you read about in the news, the State of Israel was attacked in an unprecedented act of terrorism. Hundreds are dead, with many more injured. Israeli civilians and soldiers have been kidnapped and missiles are still being fired into Israel. The Jewish community here in the United States is hurting, as we all have connections to Israel, including many of us having friends and family living there.
My synagogue, Temple B'nai Israel, is holding a Service of Solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Israel Monday night at 7:00 PM. The five local synagogues are all participating. It would be wonderful if you and members of your community could attend as a show of support. I appreciate your consideration.
With blessings, Rabbi Josh |
| | Dear Friends of Our Hearts,
Our hearts are with you. We would love to have announced this service to our members yesterday morning at our Sunday morning service, but we're guessing it's taken a great deal of effort to plan this event together, especially in the midst of such a horrific attack. This is just all beyond words and please know that we are with you, Dear Ones.
We are sending out an enews today to our membership and will include your kind invitation to join all of you at Temple B'nai Israel, 1685 Belcher Road at 7:00 PM for a beautiful Service of Solidarity with you. We encourage our folks to share this invitation with other interested friends by email and phone. We are truly honored to be invited to worship with you this evening.
My husband and I will be present. The Jewish Community has stood with Unity and has shown great hospitality to all of our community.
Our Unity folks now stand with you.
With Love and Light, The Rev. Dr. Leddy and Russ Hammock, for the Board of Directors and Congregation of Unity Church of Clearwater |
