Folks, our friends at Congregation Beth Shalom are not quite ready to host our service this Sunday.
Looks like we will aim for Sunday, February 19 there.
Meantime, we’ll just GO WITH THE FLOW and plan for one or two more Sunday services in our familiar space! There is a chance we may need to have church via live stream only next Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday), but we'll keep you posted on that.
This way, we will have an opportunity to practice setting up the traveling sound and broadcast system our team is putting together.
Also, folks who missed last week’s “farewell service” can attend in the familiar Sanctuary at least one more time, and touch the walls one last time, to say, “Thanks for the memories! See you after the transformation!” So, it’s all good.
Since the piano and most equipment has been stored, it will be a “bare bones” service. We scrambled and set out a smorgasbord of chairs, trusting we have enough.
The construction crew has already demo-ed the men’s room - so we will make do with the one and our welcome team will monitor for privacy.
We met in a tent in the parking lot for eighteen months twenty years ago, so this will be a piece of cake! We believe we will be able to livestream our service this week and our team is hustling to make that happen, though there's a good chance it will be on Facebook only.
What an adventure!
