Another Extra Important Express Saturday Tomorrow!
|
|
Sat, Nov 18 8:30 AM - ? UCC Campus
Hi all. We could use some extra help tomorrow!
We're starting early (8:30 AM) this Express Saturday so we can be ready for our friends from Dhamma Wheel to arrive for the Annual Robe Ceremony.
We could also use some helpers before and after the ceremony to help with setup and most especially cleanup. All UCC volunteers who help out for two or more hours at the Robe Ceremony will be Dhamma Wheel's guest for the "international" vegetarian lunch.
|
|
If you aren't familiar with Express
Saturday, it's our bi-weekly opportunity to come together and make
the church shine. We give the building a good cleaning from top to
bottom and some folks like to do a little gardening during that time.
We also make time to socialize, because maintaining our Church means not
only "housekeeping," for also friendly "home-making."
It's a great way to make friends and
feel the wonderful satisfaction that comes from working together in the
House Built on Love!
We also have opportunities for those that prefer to work outside!
Whether you can be with us or not, have a safe, peaceful, and prosperous weekend! |

This Sunday @ UCC: Set the Table - Leddy Hammock
|
|
Inspired by lyrics to “Keep the Table Set” by David Roth and Tom Ryan:
God has prepared a feast for me and has set the table for me to enjoy every good thing.
My mind set is to expect the best. In all my life, I give thanks in advance, expecting good and only good.
I shine all my dishes with my dreams and my wishes. I keep the table set.
I believe that God’s will for all people is good and only good.
There is always room for more people at our table. We can always set an extra plate.
Although we may say grace in many ways, we all stay grateful. We bring hope and peace to the table.
God is our instant, constant, abundant Source, and something wonderful is always coming our way.
We are ready for God’s banquet: we keep the table set. |
