Wow! December is here and the cooler weather has really been nice.
This Service Saturday will be dedicated to getting ready for Christmas and welcoming back more of our seasonal church family.
We look forward to seeing everyone bright and early in the morning :-)
This month's special tasks:
- Decorate the Peace CHAPEL for Christmas
- The welcome counter in the lobby could also use some organizing
You are most welcome to join us and we look forward to pouring lots of love in to our House Built on Love! You are the "Heart of the House!"
Service
Saturdays are good times to build friendship and community by working
and laughing together, taking care of our Church home and gratefully eat lunch together in the Café.
Whether you can be with us or not, have a great weekend! |

This Sunday @ UCC: Quiet Season
|
|
Inspired by “A Quiet Christmas” by Michael Gott:
My heart longs for a quiet Christmas, far from the hurry and the noise, for peace on earth meets peace of mind.
I can slow my mind. Just breathe, don’t run away, just breathe, and leave the cares behind.
I know I don’t have to hide. I can find a quiet place inside.
My heart longs for a quiet Christmas, far from the hurry and the noise, where peace on earth meets peace of mind.
Suddenly, there’s the joy, there’s the peace. I am ready for a quiet Christmas. |

When we get at least ten folks ready to attend, we'll schedule the class here in the Café. |

The yearly robe offering ceremony is a time of giving, for the laity to express gratitude to Buddhist monks.
Please join us again to show appreciation to the monastics who tirelessly provide the community with excellent guidance throughout the year. There will be several ways to participate:
You may choose to take your vows and receive a spiritual name You may show your support by donating household items needed
Robes can be reserved and offered to the monastics in the name of loved one or a favorite cause.
The international vegetarian lunch will be provided by The Dhamma Wheel Meditation Society.
A $10 donation is requested in appreciation for the ceremony and lunch.
UCC Service Saturday volunteers are invited to have lunch as Dhamma Wheel's guests, though any love offerings are appreciated.
No one is ever turned away because of finances. |
