A Prayer Thought for the 4th of July
We are with you in prayer here at Unity Church of Clearwater, celebrating a beautiful Independence Day, July 4, with this prayer thought celebrating your spiritual heritage of true FREEDOM, with the words of H. Emilie Cady in Lessons in Truth:
“God is all good, always good, always love. He never changes – no matter what we do or may have done. He is always trying to pour more of Himself through us into visibility, so as to make us grander, larger, fuller, freer individuals.”

Thank You, God!
This Sunday @ UCC:
Kingdom Come - Leddy Hammock
God, Your Kingdom of divine ideas is now expressing – first in mind and then in manifestation.

I let go of negative thinking. I hold good thoughts that I know are taking form right now.

I do not worry because I trust God, my instant constant Source.

When my thoughts are centered in God (Good), everything else takes care of itself.

I am a beloved child of God and God’s will for me is good and only good.

Join Leddy for a very special small group experience as she teaches Unity's primary text, Lessons in Truth.

Unity Co-founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore published the original series of Lessons in Truth by Dr. H. Emilie Cady in Modern Thought, the origin of Unity magazine.

Renowned poet Maya Angelou, who received the first honorary doctorate presented by Unity Institute, said Lessons in Truth changed her life. Dr. Angelou was introduced to Unity while studying with a voice teacher. They met weekly to read from Lessons in Truth.

She said: “I read from a book called Lessons in Truth…’God loves me’.” Her teacher asked her to read that same line three times; on the fourth read, she read “with ferocity-forceful: God. Loves. Me.” Dr. Angelou goes on: “And, at that moment, I knew it. I knew it! I thought, ‘God? That which made bees and mountains and water? That? Loves me? Maya Angelou? Well then, there’s nothing I can’t do. I can do anything good…fifty years later, I could weep with joy at the knowledge that I am loved by Love itself.”

All are welcome!

Heart of the House - Nancy Simmons
Nancy Simmons’ road to the Unity choir began at the age of 7 in a little New Jersey town named Chews Landing where she joined the children’s choir at the local Methodist church. Music was in her genes. Her father and two uncles played guitar, her grandmother played piano and her mother and many relatives all sang.

Nancy played viola in the school orchestra, sang in the choir and later in a woman’s club quartet. When cousins of her husband Ted, who came from a rich cultural Russian/Ukrainian background, started a Balalaika Orchestra, the couple ordered instruments from Leningrad for them, their 10-year-old son and fellow musicians. Their popular group of 72 musicians toured the upper east coast, appeared on the Mike Douglas show and cut their first record in 1972. They performed as the pre-entertainment for the first U.S. appearances of the Bolshoi Ballet and the world renowned “Osipov” Russian Balalaika orchestra and at the famous Philadelphia Academy of Music.

HOW LOVE BROUGHT PROSPERITY IN THE MIDST OF A RECESSION (part III)

“A chiropractor who was having similar financial challenges asked how this firm managed to make a financial comeback in the midst of bad weather and economic recession. The prayers [see affirmation below] were shared with him, and his financial results were so satisfying that he obtained a thousand printed copies of the prayers, which he distributed to his patients whenever they mentioned their own financial challenges. Thus the power of love proved its prospering power to many people . . . .”
