Set goals, crush them!

 

Hi Friend,

 

This week was an important one! We talked about how setting specific & achievable goals could keep you motivate and accelerate your growth, and spent some time in session sketching out some possibilities.


If you weren't able to attend, I strongly suggest that you take some time to consider how you want to approach the next few months!


I'll include a few tidbits for those of you just scrolling by, and attach some materials if you feel like diving deeper!

 
 

TLDR:

  • Try and make goals SMART (basically specific and achievable via some metric)

  • 1 or 2 North Star(s) to motivate you and the rest of your goals

    • Eg. performing 2 songs for friends on May 25th / Posting a cover of ___ on YouTube / Singing ___ at any karaoke before July

  • A few (priority-ranked) lifestyle habits or practice strategies to kickstart that slow and steady improvement

    • Eg. Daily mindful breathing practice / Recording yourself regularly / singing every time you shower

  • A few (priority-ranked) technique & musicality goals which build to your North Star(s) to guide your practice

    • Eg. Memorize song lyrics & stylings

    • Eg. Jaw tension / singing softly without losing resonance
