Hello Friend,

A cappella retreats for July and August are almost sold out, so they're definitely happening! I'm excited for 2 magical weekends of a cappella coming up in my future :) More info here: https://www.acahub.co/programs/retreats

From time to time, I like to share singing opportunities that I hear about from the community! Here are 3 that I know of which are open right now.

Note - all 3 of these opportunities are for experienced singers. Stay tuned for more beginner-friendly opportunities in the future.

Acapplaya,

Burning Man’s favorite all-organic six-voice vocal group for fifteen years running, seeks singers for the 2023 Burn. Members will perform at stages throughout the event, from Crossroads to Center Camp. If you’ve been wanting to perform at Burning Man in a highly-skilled acappella group, now is your chance. Auditionees must be experienced, one-voice-to-a-part performers, jazz experience is preferable. Members are required to learn a ½ hour set (5 tunes) prior to the event and be ready to perform upon arrival. Seeking all voice parts.

Ro Sham Bo,

The Bay Area's award winning jazz sextet, seeks mezzo-range vocalist with extensive one-voice-to-a-part and solo experience to join our vocal team. Candidates must be able to rehearse once a month on Sundays and attend two weekend offsites per year, and be available for gigging. Jazz experience is a plus.

Halfway To Midnight

Do you want to sing with an established, award winning a cappella band? Halfway to Midnight is looking for a mezzo/soprano!

Our beloved soprano Shanna is going solo (that's what happens when you sing with a band for 10+ years!) and we are looking for a new member to bring their own unique energy, stage presence and just plain fun to our group. We are fresh off of being named audience favorite in this year's Bay Area Harmony Sweepstakes regionals, and we're looking for someone to join in on the fun.
