Subject: how Seinfeld can make you a more successful writer

Jerry Seinfeld is arguably the most successful comic of all time.

His show, Seinfeld, ran for 9 seasons and helped define American pop culture.

When he does comedy tours, he packs venues with people eager to hear his jokes.

He’s done movies, TV specials, product endorsements, and more.

And thanks to all this, he’s amassed a personal fortune of over a billion dollars.

Jerry Seinfeld is a guy at the pinnacle of what he does.

And it would be easy to assume that what he does comes easily to him by now.

But that’s not the case.

In fact, I heard Jerry Seinfeld say it takes him up to a month of full-time work to build up just three minutes of quality content.

And how does he build up that content?

By taking the stage and telling jokes that bomb with his audience.

That’s right.

Jerry Seinfeld, a comic who’s built a billion dollar brand by making people laugh, still writes clunkers.

And so it goes with you and me.

If you’re committed to mastering your writing craft…

If you’re hustling to launch or grow your writing business…

If you’re doing the hard, uncomfortable work of identifying and overcoming the head trash holding you back…

It’s never going to be easy.

You will struggle.

You will write copy that bombs.

You will fall on your face in front of clients or readers.

But get up.

Brush yourself off.

And take your next step forward.

I don’t want to sound like one of those “Hang In There” motivational posters. But the truth is, nothing pays off in business like persistence.

So if you’re feeling discouraged, let down, beat up, or just TIRED, okay.

We’ve all been there.

But you can’t stay there.

Take the next step forward.

And I promise, if take the next step forward, if you persist despite your fear, imposter syndrome, head trash, or whatever, then the sky’s the limit for what you can do, achieve, and contribute through your writing.

Stay hungry and keep hustling,

-Paul
