Yesterday afternoon my gut was a churning whirlpool of anxiety.

I had some choppy waters to navigate with a client and the minute I got off our call -- BAM! -- my mind began to spin with worried thoughts.

I pushed through the fear and got done what needed to get done. But, talk about an unpleasant feeling.

Let me level with you:

Even though my business is growing and I’ve been working as a full-time freelancer for a couple of years now, I still deal with fear and anxiety.

It’s like riding a lion.

People see a dude riding a lion and they think, “Wow! He’s brave! He’s cool! He must have it all together to ride a lion!”

But the guy on the lion’s back is thinking, “How in the heck did I end up on a lion? And how do I keep from becoming dinner?”

Success looks easy enough from the outside.

But all the successful people I’ve had a chance to meet and speak with have told me a variation of the same thing:

“I was FREAKED OUT in the early days. But I got started and I kept going anyway.”
