When Katharine Grubb had baby #5, she realized her dream of writing a novel couldn’t wait another day.
So she cleared off a corner of her kitchen counter, set her oven timer for 10 minutes, and got started.
It took time -- five years to be exact.
But writing in 10-minute chunks, Katharine finished her novel.
And since then her writing business has grown by leaps and bounds.
Today, Katharine is the author of 6 books, she leads a thriving online community of beginning and established writers, and her blog, 10 Minute Novelist, was selected by Writer’s Digest magazine as one of the 101 best websites for writers.
I was fortunate to chat with Katharine recently about how to make time for your writing (even when you feel like you have no time to spare).
Listen:
Between work, family, an ever-growing to-do list, and other responsibilities, it’s not always easy to squeeze in writing.
But the truth is, if you want to build a writing business (or publish a novel, start a blog, write a screenplay, etc.) you’ve got to put pen to paper, fingers to keyboard, and do the work.
You gotta hustle.
And in this episode of Just Add Hustle, Katharine shares her strategies for getting your writing dreams off the ground in as little as 10 minutes a day.
