Hey, it’s Paul from Just Add Hustle and I want to tell you about this guy Ryan Biddulph.
About a 10 years ago Ryan was working as a security guard for a shipping company in central New Jersey.
He was grinding out 18 hour days five or six days a week because overtime was the only way to make a decent amount of green stuff at this J-O-B.
Dream job? Not exactly.
But it kept the lights on…
At least until Ryan’s company rewarded his hard-work and dedication with a pink slip.
They were downsizing, you see.
Rough economy.
No choice but to trade Ryan for an automated security system.
So Ryan, out of work and scrambling to find something, anything, to pay the bills (this took place in ‘08 when the Great Recession was stomping all over the U.S. economy like Godzilla smashing his way through Tokyo) made a choice that, at the time, seemed downright insane:
He started a blog.
Was Ryan some kind of online whiz?
Far from it.
He knew how to check his email and ESPN and that was about it.
But he started taking courses on how to build a blog.
He applied what he learned.
And, most important, he hustled.
Success didn’t happen overnight.
And there were enough ups and downs on the journey to make a rollercoaster jealous.
But not only did Ryan’s blog eventually take off… it’s allowed him to travel the world and work from places like Costa Rica, Thailand, and Savusavu, Fiji.
It’s a heckuva story.
And Ryan was kind enough to stop by the Just Add Hustle podcast to share it as well as his 11 fundamentals of successful blogging with our community.

Until next time…
Stay hungry and keep hustling!
