He became a worldwide hit. The name, catchphrase....It all worked.
But what happened to the runner up, Katie The Kangaroo.
That's right before Tony the Tiger swept the nation, it was a battle to see who would be the face of frosted flakes. Katie the Kangaroo fell flat and the rest is history.
