One of our greatest strengths lies in uniting people, movements, networks, and ideas to create meaningful change. Thank you for being part of this. As the world becomes increasingly militarised and unequal in 2025 we will increase our attention towards supporting movements in building transformative alternatives that place the people and the planet before profit. More specifically, in the face of increasing extractivism and militarism we will work with partners to explore the potentials of green industrial policy and digital industrial policy, alternative trade tools, national legislative frameworks on human rights and transnational corporations, and reviving the non-aligned neutrality movement. Your support is essential in driving this work forward. | | | | In 2024, alongside our global partners and networks, we held corporations and the powerful accountable. Among our key achievements: We presented systemic solutions to the climate crisis with our Reclaiming Energy report which redefines energy and resource justice and charts a clear alternative path. Launched our Palestine Liberation series and published the EU complicity report. Advocated for the protection of indigenous rights by supporting Colombia and Bolivia’s request to the UN to review the classification of coca, protecting traditional medicinal uses and Indigenous knowledge. Launched the Global Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) Tracker, spotlighting the urgent need to reform exploitative global investment practices. Pushed for Climate Justice: Our persistent advocacy, alongside partners, exposed the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) and ISDS mechanisms as major barriers to climate action. As a result, the EU announced its withdrawal from the ECT in August. Amplified the Voices for Just Transitions: Our work highlighted the climate consequences of militarism and explored the challenging questions around mining and energy transition and solutions that transnational social movements are putting forward.
