Subject: Pray for Matthew to sleep; for reduction of excess fluids; for emotional processing

Thank you for praying for Matthew. He was able to sleep for a couple of hours this afternoon, which is a huge step in the right direction since he had not slept for days. Please pray that he will sleep well tonight and get on a good day/night rhythm.

He has been keeping food down well. Please pray that his body will be able to get rid of all the excess fluids so that his swelling can go down.

Pray for wisdom as the reality of what has happened sets in on Matthew. His accident was very severe, and the damage to his body was very traumatic. Pray for him as he comes to grips with the reality that he cannot use his left arm. Pray for wisdom to know which forms of treatment and therapy to pursue for his arm.

Jonathan is still fighting a cold. Pray he can stay healthy and be able to return to work.

Elizabeth will be staying here for a couple of weeks. Please pray for accommodations where we can have our own a kitchenette to make and store meals.

Pray as we plan to seek counsel from a lawyer soon.

Pray for Pamala, Kirsten, Daniel, and Ariela back in Croatia and Germany as they are far removed from Matthew and feeling the loss. Pray for us to know how to navigate this regarding how long Todd should stay in the States, if/when/how we should change the dates of our upcoming furlough in the States, etc.

Pray about the insurance and all the paperwork and things we have to figure out financially.

We are so grateful for the generous giving to the GoFundMe account. We are very humbled to see other missionaries themselves donating, Croatian, and Roma friends, as well as many people we haven't had contact with for many years. We are thankful for all of you who gave to meet the goal of the first phase of $20,000 for the GoFundMe fund. We are continuing to ask for donations as we fear that the financial needs will be much more than this first $20,000. There are many, many unknowns ahead for Matthew's medical treatment as well as family travel, etc. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for your love and support!
Todd
