Thank you all so much for praying.
1. Through the kindness of friends, we have been provided with a place to live in Lake Tapawingo, MO, August 2017-January 2018, just a mile from our home church. We are so grateful as the house comes fully furnished, with 3 bedrooms and we only need to pay utilities. This is a fantastic answer to prayer. Rejoice with us!
2. We are in close contact with the foundation in the US about the grant and they have assured us that the grant request for Roma Bible translation will be approved in a week or two! We are rejoicing as this provides funding for 3 years of translation work in 5 languages. It will include the cost to translate all the training materials to teach the Roma to translate, all the Bible translation reference notes the Roma will need to use for translating, travel for consultants to check the work, monthly salary for the Roma translators, funds for visiting Roma villages to test the translation drafts, equipment and software, and printing Scripture portions. Praise God!
3. Please continue to pray for a family to stay in the house we rent in Budapest during this time, to take care of the house, yard and cats. This would be a huge help!
4. Braden (our summer Bible translation intern from our home church who is a student at Moody Bible Institute and is pictured below enjoying gyros with us in Budapest) and I will be driving to Croatia tomorrow so I can work with Roma translators there on the Bayash NT draft for two days. Please pray for safety, for all technology to work, and for much wisdom for me and the translators as we check and edit the Bible stories and NT passages. (And praise God that my computer which crashed in that same place a few weeks ago when we tried to do a Bible translation session is working like a charm--thank you Lord!)
Thanks for praying! Todd
