Rudyard Kipling, the famous poet, went to live in the USA and moved into a house on the side of a valley.
One day he went out walking, and after some miles he found himself at a lonely, isolated farmhouse on the opposite side of the valley from where he lived.
A lady came out of the farmhouse and asked Rudyard, “Are you the new lights across the valley? You wont’ know what a comfort they’ve been to me this Winter when I felt alone and cut off. You won’t ever put them out, will you?”
