Someone mentioned that if kelp tablets are available in your health food store, that should work....

Here's an article forwarded to me by Gina saying that the kind of radiation from nuclear plants needs different ways of being handled.. I am in no way an expert on this, but have been aware of potassium iodide for radiation for quite some time. Some people are saying there are potential side effects. On the other hand, here's an article that says the Japanese government is distributing potassium iodide to people who are living near the plants.

And here's another article from Scientific American talking about the Japanese government distributing potassium iodide.

And here's an article from San Diego where health officials warn against taking potassium iodide and say the radiation will never be strong enough to be dangerous......

You'll have to decide....... But for me, I'd like to have some tucked away. Hoping I'll never need to take it, but it's there just in case

If there's more of interest on this topic, I'll send it.. I thank all of you who forwarded articles of relevance.... ,,,Wynn
