So here is my latest nature relaxation video which I recorded last Monday in The Surrey Hills around a small village called "Puttenham"... It has been a while since I released any new video on my YouTube Channel. https://goo.gl/mTr88P
The reason for that is because in August I was "back home" in The Netherlands for a 2 week holiday with family. During that time the UK government also decided that travelers from France, Belgium, and The Netherlands had to self isolate for 2 weeks on return.
So there you go; 1 month without being able to create and upload anything new. Another thing that kept me busy was that I had to let go of one job and change it for another. That also meant that I had to look for my own car as I am somebody that is too dependent on driving.
During my stay in The Netherlands, I was not only very busy catching up with all my family and friends but it also gave me the opportunity to reflect on my life in the UK.
Because when I was "back home" I felt completely different. I feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to my environment compared to the UK. Different energy I suppose...
So I looked into the option to seek a new career in the region I grew up (Zeeland). Unfortunately, that door didn't really open for me.
Another thing that pulled me back to the UK is of course my relationship. Guess London is not done with me just yet.
On my return to the UK, I struggled a bit with Home Sickness. Perhaps this has been going on for some time.
When something "feels off" you start to believe that something is "wrong with you." And what we tend to do is to seek either a distraction or addiction or a need for "constant self improvement."
The Self Improvement is not without a reason a $ Billion industry. However, some time ago I was watching some videos about Shaolin Monks in China. And what I realized from them is that sometimes Spirituality is Not Expressed.
Meaning you can go around and around over-analyzing all your thoughts and feelings at various workshops and events going absolutely No-where.
Sometimes you just need to become still within your own stillness in this very moment to the experience the oneness and unity within. Forget about the constant need for improvement.
You can either lock yourself up in a basement somewhere in Central London meditating. Or you go "and play outside" for the day reconnecting with Mother Nature.
Be in the present moment and out of your head overthinking everything.
I guess this is what I am trying to accomplish with my videos. Enjoy!
