Why do bad things happen to good people?
Hi Friend,

I hope you're doing well.

If you're receiving this email, it's because I placed you on my exclusive list of wonderful people, people who like thrillers or me or both. If you just like me and not thrillers, I understand. I'm awesome.

The first seder is Wednesday night. Like many of our Jewish friends, we'll be having our seder remotely. We'll be connecting with my mom via Facetime, just like our great ancestors did in the time of Moses.

I'm writing because my second Jewish thriller in The Torah Codes series, 36 Righteous; A Serial Killer's Hit List, is, I believe, pertinent today when we are struggling through these challenging times.

To be honest, I feel frustrated with my limitations in helping people, so I've decided to give you a complimentary copy of 36 Righteous. Though the themes are serious, the words are saturated with my brand of humor. Or as the British say, "humour."

Click here for a shared folder where you can choose which format you prefer:
  • mobi (for kindle),
  • ePub (for Nook, iBooks, and kobo),
  • or PDF.
If you have a challenge getting the book to your device, I encourage you to ask your tech-savvy experts (your children). Nu? It will give you a good reason to talk to them.

Books 3 and 4 in the series are available, too: Deborah's Number; A Bank Heist Mitzvah (with an essay by my mom Bella Barany!), and Bullets Aren't Kosher.

Stay safe,

-Ezra

36 Righteous by Ezra Barany (NOT Steven Pressfield)
What if you discovered your beloved was on a hit list?

In every generation, 36 righteous must live to prevent the Earth's complete destruction. When the list of 36 righteous is stolen and turned into a hit list, Nathan Yirmorshy must do all he can to stop the serial killer's onslaught. Especially since his girlfriend Sophia is on the list.

36 Righteous, A Serial Killer's Hit List is the sequel to Ezra Barany's award-winning bestselling thriller, The Torah Codes. Included is an appendix of essays and interviews by rabbis and reverends who tackle the question, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Contributors are Rabbi Harold S. Kushner, Reverend Amber Belldene, Rabbi Daniel Kohn, Rabbi Maury Grebenau, Reverend Leslie Nipps, Rabbi Tsiporah Gabai, Rabbi Aron Moss, Reverend Amy Roden, and Josh Rosenau.
