Subject: SMS Delivery Issues Update

Hello Friend!

As you may be aware, the 3rd party SMS delivery service that we've been using to send out text alerts has been having delivery issues.

It started as some messages getting blocked or not being sent at all, and has escalated to where almost all numbers are not receiving updates.

As soon as the issue was noticed, our developer reached out to find a solution and has been working ceaselessly since then.

Upon further investigation, we've learned that the cell phone carrier networks have updated their regulations and required additional information and a whole new round of registration.

Unfortunately, this all happened overnight without any sort of advance warning from the SMS service we were using.

Our developer jumped through their hoops, dealt with all of the issues only to have our company rejected due to the nature of our business - sending out trading alerts.

Under the new regulations, trading alerts are deemed high risk and as a result we are not allowed to send text updates.

The 3rd party SMS service has said that while some messages may still go through for some numbers, we will be unable to send any messages by the end of this month.

Hoping that this was just an issue with the specific 3rd party SMS delivery service we were using, we went through the same process with 2 other delivery services (hoping to get approved by either one of them).

We were rejected by both.

As frustrating and disappointing as this is, it's unfortunately out of our hands.

With that said, when sending updates to our test accounts, we have found email delivery to Gmail addresses come through faster than SMS messages did.

So going forward, we recommend watching your email for trade updates.

But in an effort to provide another notification option, our developer has set up a Telegram group for us to send updates to.

So if you'd like to receive alerts via Telegram, please:
1) download and install the Telegram app
2) send us an email with your Telegram username and the Paypal email address that you used to set up your membership with The Empirical Collective

Once we have that, we will send you a Telegram invite link and try to approve your Telegram access asap.

We understand that this isn't ideal and we wish we could keep sending updates via SMS, but with the change in regulations it's just not possible right now.
