Subject: Abracadabra

Let's be real here:

Life can absolutely suck sometimes.

During those moments of complete despair, where everything seems to be crashing all around you, it's very easy to raise a fist to the heavens and cry, "Why is this happening to me?!!!"

But the truth is...nothing just happens.

There is no evil entity wishing harm upon you.

You are not a doomed character in a poorly written script.

Even the worst people in your life actually do nothing to you.

They are just merely being.

Your experiences are your own.

And I know I am not saying anything new. But I repeat it because of its importance.

You create your life.

Unfortunately, there is no magic wand to wave or bag of fairy dust to toss into the wind.

If you want to experience something new, then you must change who you are.

You. Must. Change.

You must.

You have to.

That's how this whole "life" thing works.

You have to wake up in the morning and do the uncommon thing.

It will be the hardest thing you've ever done. You are literally rebelling against everything that comes "natural" to you.

But even that is a lie, because there is no "natural" you. Sure, your parents encoded certain genetic characteristics, but everything you are is based on habits created by previous versions of you.

So look around.

Do you like your town? Do you like your friends? Do you like your job? Do you like your man? Do you like not having a man?

Do you like YOU?

No?

Then kill yourself.

Seriously.

Throw that old version of you into the fire and start from scratch.

I've killed myself at least 237 times. (I'm remarkably resilient.)

And every new birth creates a better version of me. A version more suited for the life I want to live now.

This is the only way.

And it's going to be hard.

It's going to suck.

But the future you is gonna be like:

HELL YEA THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THIS I FVCKING LOVE YOU ROCK ON OLD ME YOU'RE GREAT!!!

And wouldn't that be nice.

Much love, amigo,
Obi
