Hello, Writers!

Fall is upon us with changing leaves and cooler weather. In addition to writing and reading and teaching, I find I've been adding more naps to my schedule.

Are you participating in NaNoWriMo? I'm keeping up with my daily word counts, I've met an interesting new character, and I'm wondering if there's a story there...pantsing this project all the way!

The Writer Workshop has three online events scheduled this week:

Monday, November 8, at 7 pm Eastern: Feedback and Critique. Read a bit of your work and receive feedback from the group. $5. Register today.

Tuesday, November 9, at 1 pm Eastern: Fiction Writing through Prompts at the Henderson Libraries in Nevada (via Zoom). Free, but advanced registration is required.  https://hendersonlibraries.com/event/5412140

Thursday, November 11, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific): Fiction through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and we'll write to a high-end prompt for 25 minutes and then, the group shares the results and offers feedback. The cost is $10. Register for the Prompt Writing webinar.

And, the Elements of Fiction webinars (Character, World Building, Plot, Pacing, and more) are available for on-demand viewing. Click to learn more....

For the online events, you don't need any special software. Just register and then click the link at the meeting time to join us.

Enjoy the journey!
