Hello, Writers!

My reading this week included finishing Fannie Flagg's latest, The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop. It's nice to revisit favorite characters, but this novel, while garnering great reviews, doesn't hold much substance. Still, Flagg's voice is so strong on the page that it was an enjoyable read. I also enjoyed the audio version of Dan Rather's latest, Stories of a Lifetime. Nice to spend time with an old friend. I hope you're reading something interesting.

We started the new workshop series of Julia Cameron's The Vein of Gold: A Journey to Your Creative Heart. We've only done the intro week, so there's still time if you want to join us on Tuesday evenings. Click for details and to register

Monday, July 12, at 7 pm Eastern: Feedback and Critique. Read a bit of your work and receive feedback from the group. $5. Register today.

Tuesday, July 13, at 7 pm Eastern: The Vein of Gold Workshop. (see above)

Thursday, July 15, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific): Fiction through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and we'll write to a high-end prompt for 25 minutes and then, the group shares the results and offers feedback.
