Hello, Writers!
I'm leading a discussion of Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys for the Henderson Writers' Group this Wednesday. This novel, a response to Jane Eyre, is a compelling work and I'm looking forward to a lively discussion.
I've also just finished reading Andrew McCarthy's memoir Brat. I was a fan in the 80s and it was nice spending some time with Andrew, but the memoir left a lot to be desired; it felt to be more outline than book. But, he's had a lot of press and publicity and the book has been in top spots on Amazon since its release a few weeks ago.

Thursday, June 10, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific): Fiction through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and we'll write to a high-end prompt for 25 minutes and then, the group shares the results and offers feedback.
