Hello, Writers!

What are you reading? Most recently, I finished a nonfiction, Fossil Man: The Quest for the Oldest Skeleton and the Origins of Humankind by Kermit Pattison. There were some interesting experiences shared, but the writing wasn't great. I guess there's a lesson there...if you write about interesting things, even if the writing isn't great you can still get published.

Last week, we started our exploration of Julia Cameron's latest, The Listening Path, as a workshop. You can still join us with Chapter 1 on Tuesday, May 11th. Register Today!

The Writer Workshop has four online events scheduled this week:

Monday, May 10, at 7 pm Eastern: Feedback and Critique. Read a bit of your work and receive feedback from the group. $5. Register today.

Tuesday, May 11, at 1 pm Eastern: Fiction through Prompts for the Henderson Libraries. Free and open to the public, but you must register in advance for this Zoom meeting.

Tuesday, May 11, at 7 pm Eastern: The Listening Path Workshop.

Thursday, May 13, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific): Fiction through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and we'll write to a high-end prompt for 25 minutes and then, the group shares the results and offers feedback. The cost is $10. Register for the Prompt Writing webinar.

The Elements of Fiction webinars (Character, World Building, Plot, Pacing, and more) are available for on-demand viewing. Click to learn more....

For the online events, you don't need any special software. Just register and then click the link at the meeting time to join us.

Enjoy the journey!
