Hello, Writers!

We made it to spring! That's something...

I'm most excited because I got my second COVID vaccination and we've already planned a long weekend of travel for the Easter weekend. I'm so looking forward to seeing something new and doing something different.

This week, I read the 1969 classic, Travels with My Aunt by Graham Greene. It's a rather light piece, a character study with a "sort of" plot, that actually confronts a few harsh realities the world faced in the 60s. What I think I enjoyed most was the narrator's voice and style. So easy and even and internal.

I've been invited back once more as faculty for the Las Vegas Writer's Conference (April 8-10). It remains virtual this year, and affordable. If you're thinking about a conference this spring, LVWC is a decent one.

The Writer Workshop has four online events scheduled this week:

Tonight, Monday, March 22, at 7:30 pm Eastern (4 pm Pacific): Feedback and Critique. If you're interested in reading 5-6 pages of your work and receiving feedback from other writers, join us. The cost is $5. Register for the Critique & Feedback webinar.

Tuesday, March 23, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific): Fiction Writing through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and we'll write to a high-end prompt for 30 minutes and then, the group shares the results and offers feedback. Offered through Henderson Libraries.

Tuesday, March 23, at 7pm Eastern. The Artist's Way WorkshopBeginning January 5th, I'm starting an Artist's Way Workshop. It'll run for thirteen weeks and we'll take the journey together through Julia Cameron's creative empowerment guide, The Artist's Way.

Thursday, March 25, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific): Fiction through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and we'll write to a high-end prompt for 25 minutes and then, the group shares the results and offers feedback.
