Hello Writers!

How are you doing with your sheltering-in-place? Getting some writing done? Learning new things? Binging your favorite shows?

I've started taking a few free online classes through Edx.org. Some of the offerings are from Harvard and MIT, among others. You can audit the classes for free or pay a small fee to get a certificate. I've been attending a few classes for free. Great lectures and videos from some of the top professors.

While the state of Georgia experiments with reopening of businesses, it appears our COVID-19 peak is hitting today and tomorrow. To do our part in social distancing and keeping everyone safe, The Writer Workshop's physical location remains closed at least through May. But, we'll continue offering online opportunities for feedback and for creativity...

Tonight, Monday, April 27th, at 7 pm Eastern (4 pm Pacific). Feedback and Critique. If you're interested in reading 5-6 pages of your work and receiving feedback from other writers, join us. The cost is $5.

Thursday, April 30, at 1 pm Eastern (10 am Pacific). Fiction through Prompts. In this online, video conference webinar, you'll learn about a literary device and then write to a high end prompt for 20-25 minutes. Then, we share the results and offer feedback. The cost is $10. Register for the Prompt Writing webinar.

For the online events, you don't need any special software. Just register and then click the link at the meeting time to join us.

In the meantime, Stay Safe!

Enjoy the journey!
