Friend,

I only have 600 miles to go to complete a 2100 mile trip with my family,
in our 1962 Mooney, M20C.

We left Los Angeles and flew South the the Baja. First, we headed
to San Felipe for fuel, then on to Loreto Bay.

My two kids love flying the smooth, moist air of Mexico beaches.
My pregnant wife appreciates the lack of turbulence as well.

From Loreto or flew direct to Calexico, CA. After a burrito, we lifted out
of the sweltering heat to head Northeast to Colorado. That was one hell
of a day!

Tail winds and heat bumps kept me on my toes at 11,500.

We eventually made Durango, CO. It took all of my endurance and
focus to keep everything steady.

I started thinking about pilots on drugs. Lipitor, in particular.
