Friend,

Two weeks ago, my buddy Wilton text me to say that there was a
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) tournament near my house, in Los Angeles.

I checked the weight classes to see where I'd fall. It was middle-weight.

Perfect. No cutting required.

I’ve been doing BJJ for about 6 years...I signed up.

It was going to be my first, BJJ Gi tournament.

I needed the practice. Plus, my son would get to see me
compete, for the first time. That could be bad or good, right?

Either way, I wanted him to learn about competition and how to
prepare.

My first step was to get my joints operational.

Aching elbows are a serious issue for me when I'm not taking my
ultra-potent, one-of-a-kind joint formula.

Even the slightest movement can send vibrations of pain down my arm.
Years of wrestling, lifting, snowboarding and arm bars have stressed them.

for first place, I won 8 to 0. I tried for a submission via choke once I
got his back. But, I couldn’t sink it in deep enough.

I still need more practice.

Blair told me he had a lot of fun.

Mission accomplished.
