Subject: ~Do moms know about risky multi-vitamins? Kids?

My son Blair turns 13 yo in two weeks...as a result, he became
a 10% partner in my daughters thriving Handmade Soap Club
(www.handmadesoapclub.com)!

He put down some sweat equity and began his division of packaging and
labeling.

After an hour, he quit.

"I ran out of tape."

His sister, Lily, jumped into action..."If you start something,
you finish it! Go get more tape!"

"It's hot!"

That got her blood boiling..."I just made 150 bars outside in the garage!"

"You're fired!"

"I already quit!"

His partnership lasted a full 1.2 hours.

I called an emergency 'business meeting' to remind her that as CEO, she
needs to learn how to turn "chumps into champs."

Blair was back in...and jumped on his bike to get tape.

Soaps got packaged.

Part of my job as dad and chemist, is teaching my kids how to work
together...and also how to be healthy enough to work long hours.

The first step was teaching them to avoid man-made (synthetic) vitamins!

The average multivitamin isn’t worth shit. It offers no medicinal value,
whatsoever, and can even harm you…

New research proves the old research…

St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto conducted a study.
It was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

They did a “systematic review of existing data and single randomized
control trials published in English from January 2012 to October 2017 found
that multivitamins, vitamin D, calcium and vitamin C — the most common
supplements — showed no advantage or added risk in the prevention of
cardiovascular disease, heart attack, stroke or premature death,” writes
EurekAlert.org.

No advantage?

Tell that to the supplement hucksters who peddle this shit to
the masses!

Dr. David Jenkins was the lead author. “We were surprised to find so few
positive effects of the most common supplements that people consume. Our
review found that if you want to use multivitamins, vitamin D, calcium or
vitamin C there is no apparent advantage,” he said.

That’s because all of these “vitamins” are chemicals from a lab,
masquerading as nutrients!!

If you don’t avoid synthetic vitamins, you risk things like

- hypercalcemia
- kidney failure
- central nervous system depression (Can lead to depression and lack of
energy)
- heart failure

All of these are signs of parathyroid dysfunction, which can manifest as
kidney stones, frequent headaches, fatigue, and depression. Sometimes the
symptoms are not so obvious, like high blood pressure and the inability to
concentrate.

…And you’re swallowing this poison in your multivitamin?

The US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) published a report showing
that vitamin D and calcium supplements are worthless, too:

“The USPSTF found inadequate evidence to estimate the benefits of vitamin
D, calcium, or combined supplementation to prevent fractures in
community-dwelling men and premenopausal women. The USPSTF found adequate
evidence that daily supplementation with 400 IU or less of vitamin D and
1000 mg or less of calcium has no benefit for the primary prevention of
fractures in community-dwelling, postmenopausal women. The USPSTF found
inadequate evidence to estimate the benefits of doses greater than 400 IU
of vitamin D or greater than 1000 mg of calcium to prevent fractures in
community-dwelling postmenopausal women. The USPSTF found adequate evidence
that supplementation with vitamin D and calcium increases the incidence of
kidney stones.”

Translation: ditch anything with vitamin D!

And as for synthetic calcium? It can “freeze” your arteries!

Both drugs are bad. They don’t belong in a multivitamin.
